Thank you all - I have removed auto bouquet maker; I also had a Pluto TV extension installed which I have removed - to be honest when I set the box up as a noob I wasn't really sure what was what and having used it for several months now am more au fait with OpenPLI. I never actually used PlutoTV.
OK, so to explain - I noticed that there were additional satellite providers in my settings over and above those I actually use and for which my (fixed) dish is setup. I only use the UK Astra 2G Freesat channels, but providers listed also include Hotbird 13.0 and others. I had installed AutoBouquetMaker (now since removed). I can't find a way of removing the additional providers.
The issue was that periodically, I would find 250+ bouquets had been generated covering many international countries, even if there was no signal. This was a pain as I use the Kodi Enigma2 extension and as this has to load all of the bouquets it would sit there for ages. The only remedy it seems is to go in and delete them by hand which took an age. I found over time that these would reappear usually after a software upgrade.
So, following the advice on here, I have removed PlutoTV, I have removed AutoBouquetMaker; there is no file iptv.sh in var/etc/enigma2
I discovered there were some in Radio bouquets too - see screengrab here: https://photos.app.g...qJppKWVD7Jrrr16 - this shows the additional satellite providers and the unwanted bouquets, of which there are many.
I am hoping the deletions have fixed it. I do recall during setup a question being asked if I wanted to autocreate bouqets for all providers (I understand this is not standard OpenPLI, but could be from an extension? To be honest I can't remember as it was some time ago and my knowledge of OpenPLI was more basic then).
