Hello,

I don't know if something has changed in Openpli 8.3, but it is impossible to do an internet speed test.

I use "https://github.com/m...st_1.7_all.ipk"

If someone has an idea ?

Thanks

I use this url and just made a "script" that I can run via hotkeys

#!/bin/bash
 wget -O - https://raw.githubusercontent.com/sivel/speedtest-cli/master/speedtest.py | python

the script works, maybe you need full wget

The script works with all python versions, so py2 - py3 isn't relevant.

wget is only used to download it, and that works fine given the output posted, so the full wget isn't needed.

You get the error if there are no results, which could be because no servers were selected, or no servers provided a response.

Start by editing speedtest.py, and change the value of DEBUG to True, and see what the debug output tells you.

So you don't get the error now?

Perhaps an intermediate issue, I can't imagine that enabling debug output would alter the logic.

In debug mode after a restart speedtest works fine no errors.

And the error is back after you disable debug again?

Yes.

I don't understand.

But after the test, i see 50 Mbits/s and it is normal on WLAN at 2.4 GHz. But on the network now, there is no 5 GHz, i don't understand.

What are the frequencies range on DUO4K for the 5 GHz?

Probably it is different from my internet box frequencies range ?

Thanks

You can use the command

iwlist <interface> channel

to list the channels supported by the driver (interface is wlan3 on the Duo 4K).

The Duo 4K supports

root@vuduo4k:~# iwlist wlan3 channel
wlan3 26 channels in total; available frequencies :
          Channel 01 : 2.412 GHz
          Channel 02 : 2.417 GHz
          Channel 03 : 2.422 GHz
          Channel 04 : 2.427 GHz
          Channel 05 : 2.432 GHz
          Channel 06 : 2.437 GHz
          Channel 07 : 2.442 GHz
          Channel 08 : 2.447 GHz
          Channel 09 : 2.452 GHz
          Channel 10 : 2.457 GHz
          Channel 11 : 2.462 GHz
          Channel 12 : 2.467 GHz
          Channel 13 : 2.472 GHz
          Channel 36 : 5.18 GHz
          Channel 40 : 5.2 GHz
          Channel 44 : 5.22 GHz
          Channel 48 : 5.24 GHz
          Channel 52 : 5.26 GHz
          Channel 56 : 5.28 GHz
          Channel 60 : 5.3 GHz
          Channel 64 : 5.32 GHz
          Channel 149 : 5.745 GHz
          Channel 153 : 5.765 GHz
          Channel 157 : 5.785 GHz

Now, information bitrate is 866.5 Mb/s and before it was 140 Mb/s.(probably values max)

For 140 Mb/s, it was after test 50 Mb/s (Speedtest)

For 866.5 Mb/s, it is now impossible to do another test in debug mode or in normal mode.

Something stop the connexion to the serveur, it was ok by the past in old openpli release.

I'm sorry to hear that you're having trouble performing an internet speed test on Openpli 8.3. The test can also be done on Internet Speed test. It's possible that something may have changed with the software, but without more information it's difficult to determine the root cause of the issue.

Regarding the link you provided, it appears to be a link to an IPK file for a speed test plugin. Have you already installed the plugin on your Openpli 8.3 device?

If the plugin is already installed, you may want to check if there are any updates available for it or if there are any known issues with it on Openpli 8.3.

Alternatively, you can try using a different speed test plugin or a web-based speed test tool to check your internet speed.

I hope this helps! Let me know if you have any further questions.

In my previous comment i mentioned Internet speed test, some of the user asked me to mention the link, as I am unable to edit my comment so I added the link in this thread. Thanks
