the TBS 6983 ( only DVB-S2) card finds and reads this transponder now without any problem.
Only VLC still has problems to read the stream

Hello, what is the maximum data throughput of the AVL6261C?
DVB-S2/16APSK SR-31429 FEC-4/5 tests have started on Astra1 19 East, which gives a transponder data flow of 100 Mbit/s. The minimum C/N for this mod is 11 dB.

If you cannot find the correct specification of that chip, I would suggest doing some stress test with a STB that contains such a device.

I tested a 10 minutes full TS recording from a TBS 5580, tuned to that transponder (11817v31430) and the recorded content was free of errors.

The TS contains 4 video streams with 4 audiotracks each (3x Mpg, 1 x Dolby E.

The program content is the same but with differend encodings and bitrates.

Track 1         min bitrate 4,2  max 19,6    average 14-17 Mbit

Track 1, 2, 3            min 3,8   max 11,9    average 9-10 Mbit

Hence the payload is about 45% of the transponder capacity, the rest is stuffing.

That's why I asked about the maximum throughput, i don't care about the bitrate of the program.

Some boxes can process such high data after correcting the drivers or firmware
