I have anZGemma receiver: it is H2 according to the front panel but I get this from the web I/F.

I wonder which firmware should I use for updating: H2.*? H3.*?

Marca & Modello: Zgemma H3 series Processore: Broadcom 7362 Memoria Totale: 243636 kB libera / 312676 kB totale Tempo di avvio del ricevitore: 1d 17:00 Software System OE: PLi-OE Versione del Firmware: OpenPLi 4 (2018-09-01-release-4) Versione del kernel / Drivers: 4.10.6 / 4.10.6+20170623-r0.1

I am puzzled.

I also need direction about mnaking an HDD visible (sorry if the info is somewhere on OpenPLI web site)

Thanks much for any help

Just select your model from the list: https://openpli.org/download/zgemma/

the issue is that there is a mismatch between the model reported by the front panel (H2.H) compared to the one reported by the OpenPLI web interface

Insert an usb stick with enough free space and connect Zgemma to the internet and flash from the menu, the system will choose the right one for you, https://wiki.openpli...mage_support.29

Hardware: Vu+ Uno 4K SE - Vu+ Duo 4K  - Fuba 78 cm - Tripleblock LNB Quad 19.2/23.5/28.2 - DS918+
Software : OpenPLi - OSCam - Settings van Hans - Autotimer - EPGImport

The exact model can't be detected, they all use the same "h3" image.

Hi.

I don't know if I can advise. I looked at the Zgemma website and I found differences probably only in the types of tuners + in the number of tuners.

Both Zgemma H2 and H3 series have the same or very similar hardware. Even the ZGEMMA website itself, if you click the mouse on H3 models, you will see some H2 models under this item. At the same time, the item itself for H2 device models is not there at all.

For example:
http://zgemma.org/zgemma-h2h1.html
http://zgemma.org/zgemma-h2s.html
http://zgemma.org/zgemma-h32tc.html

However, the HW similarity is considerable:
- chipset BCM7362 Dual core (750MHz CPU)
- 256 MB NAND flash / 512 MB DDR3 RAM
- 1x CardReader CAS (UNI reader)

... etc.

If there are any differences, they are only minimal.

Apparently, the only difference between H2 and H3 is that the manufacturer supplies its set-top box with a different built-in or with another secondary additional tuner. That will probably be the only difference. However, in terms of hardware, these models are otherwise identical.

Try to identify your Zgemma set-top box model, just by the type + number of tuners in the device.

I cannot see the flash menu as reported above. I inserted the usb key FAT32 with the zip file and reboot.

It is probably because my FW is version 4 OpenPLi 4 (2018-09-01-release-4) ...

 how can I update differently? thanks

If I try menu -> setup ->softwareupdate I am reported that no update is available

thanks

Nope. You can only flash a new image. From the 6.x image you can perform an online flash if I recall right.

Why don’t you try an USB flash of an H3 image. I don’t own an H2.H anymore so I can’t test it myself.
If the H3 image isn’t the right image it won’t flash.

The H3 image is the right image, see https://openpli.org/...oad/zgemma/H.2H and https://openpli.org/...oad/zgemma/H.2S

@Neo,

This was more a reply to TS as I am aware that the h3 image also suits the h2.h.

Try to identify your Zgemma set-top box model, just by the type + number of tuners in the device.

Hi.

You have to be more specific:

H32TC = DVB-S2 + 2 x DVB-T2/C Dual Hybrid

H2S = DVB-S2 + DVB-S2 Plug Tuner

H2H = DVB-S2 + DVB-T2/C Hybrid

So if you haven't replaced some "PLUG" tuners and you have an original composition, then it is likely that you will have one of the listed models.

I don't know what the characters at the end of the Zgemma set-top boxes label mean, but probably the type of additional (PLUG) tuner. If there is an S at the end, it means an added SAT tuner, and if there is an H at the end, it means an added hybrid tuner (Terrestrial/Cable) and if there is a TC, it means a double hybrid tuner (Terrestrial/Cable x 2). I don't know if it is so !!! I'm just guessing !!!

BTW, the manufacturer of Zgemma set-top boxes is:

Shenzhen Air Digital Technology Co., Ltd (a division of Gemma Technology)

So if you would like to look for Enigma2 firmware from other teams, you can find them under these names in the download section :).
