IMDB screen also missing.

 

It is full screen black background now, and a bit "hole" upper left where normally the PiG is placed.

 

So IMDB screen added.

In the channel selection screen when you try to edit a bouquet via bouquetMarkEnd/bouquetMarkAbort the selected channel i snot highlighted with a background (in our standard skin all services change to red, the cursor looks also red and you are able to select services that become gray).. Likley also when you do the same for favorites edit and alternatives edit.

@huevos...That is move mode not edit mode... For move mode it does... but not for edit mode...

 

It also looks like you have a border around the selected service. I did not see this ever in our image.

It seems to be indeed that all services are selected/marked.....But i think that is the same for all skins. In DarkOS seems the color for marked and marked-selected are the same.

 

The question here is what should be the colors. Maybe marked color should be same like a normal background (or maybe slightly brighter than black...maybe dark gray) and selected item in marked mode should be the current selection color?

I don't see an immediate problem in your screenshot. All channel names are in red, the selected one is clearly visible.

 

Never understood what "edit mode" does btw, how do you edit what?

Well maybe the problem was in DarkOS since there was not clear which is the selected one (since it was with same background color).

 

In my last screenshot i have changed that so to be clear which is the selected.

 

As for bouquet edit mode...That is made so to be able to edit markers (edit description, remove the marker), edit the alternatives or edit hidden services.

 

Those operations are not allowed in normal mode of the service list.

btw something generic i noticed...Seems colors doesnt look the same on PLi and on OE-A based image (in particular ViX). In ViX for example colors are much more vivid and contrast than on PLi....

Is PLi using different drivers? Or default setting for contrast is different?

It is wrong... but a feature rarely used (I never used it personally).. in the standard skin the selection bar is with red background, but this new skin you do not see which one is selected in the list.... So I'm afraid this is related to 'default' colors or so...

Drivers I doubt it, there haven't been new VU+ drivers in ages. Settings is easy to see by comparing the A/V settings of both images.

All OE-A based images use the same OE, so if there is a difference between ATV and VIX, it is something done in Enigma.

If you are watching UHD/4K channels the color became "darker" also in the menu (perhaps linked with HDR activation).

On HD channels the colors are more vivid.  That's what I saw on my VU+ Solo4K connected to a Sony TV.

Ah, that could be, my TV doesn't support 4K or HDR.

 

It sounds logical that if HDR is active, the graphics in the framebuffer overlay also appear brighter.

Umm i dont think so. 4K channels with HDR are clear. Depending on the HDR type/level the UI can become really dark.

 

Some IPTV channels even 1080p can have HDR enabled.

 

But here i am speaking to the difference between UI when playing normal HD channel. The difference is not huge but there is such. In PLi the colors are washed out.

When i make a screenshot via webif the quality is the same between both images. But visually on TV it is not which is strange.

 

I didnt try OpenATV so to compare...Maybe is the same like in ViX....

 

Anyway is not big deal just wondering why is that difference. 

 

Keep in mind that i believe in OE-A images the enhanced video settings are available by default so maybe there is difference.

The enhanced video settings do not enhance anything. It is for adapting parameters for upscaling just for your taste. When the osd changes during hdr this is clearly a hardware/driver issue… when the output is 10 bit color for example the osd should be adjusted (by driver or hardware) …. But here also your tv is involved and how it is forwarded to your tv by the box. For hdr you usually should not see a change in brightness… but in some combinations between tv and box it goes wrong,
