Thanks,

ServiceInfo screen is working fine, we can now read more of the URL stream, but the second infobar is still not displaying the URL.

If I look at your last change:

https://github.com/O...e66fb67ecd837e1

It sounds to me that we fall into the else in line 72 so path is empty due to the else and then when we are watching a stream nothing is displayed.

I don't use 4097 in my stream but 1.

Here is a dummy exemple:

#DESCRIPTION XXXX
#SERVICE 1:0:1:33F6:3:0:0:0:0:3:http%3a//XXXX%3a80/

All the streams are created like this in my userbouquet files.

For 4097 services I do see the full URL now.

Currently in use: VU+ Duo 4K (2xFBC S2), VU+ Solo 4K (1xFBC S2), uClan Usytm 4K Ultimate (S2+T2), Octagon SF8008 (S2+T2), Zgemma H9.2H (S2+T2)

There is a need to check on '://' instead of checking on 4097 etc...

Or when (what I remember) getPath returns something then show that....

Thanks, now I see the URL in the second infobar.

Now some considerations:

When we watch a DVB-C we have the satellite position, etc... on top of the crypto

When watching stream it sounds to me more logical to have the URL on top of the crypto (like for the DVB) since the stream URL is in fact the same information type as the orbital position.

So my logic would be: same information, same position.

Now in the standard OpenPLi skin in the top left corner we can see the service reference.  In DarkOS we don't have it.

Would it be possible to have, in the second infobar.

for DVB:

Orbital

Crypto

Service reference

And for stream:

URL

Crypto (Free to air)

Service reference

Service reference is important for people that manage there EPG with EPGimport custom.channels.xml capability for exemple.

It is more user friendly to have it displayed in the second infobar than always needs to go into: Menu - Informations - Service

About the Service info screen:

I saw that we have the Service Name   but on the Service reference we have it too after the service reference why?

This can make sense when the channel is renamed by the end-user but in most case the channel name is not renamed, so why always include the Service Name in the Service Reference display?

Thanks,

Pr2

in the second infobar

Question,

Now with the stream URL in the second infobar, all info about the stream itself is no longer present, stuff like the video codec, size and format. I can no longer see if "HD" means 1920x1080, or 1280x720 for example.

This is because your skin combines transponder info and video information, so you lose the video information when there is no transponder.

I now have to go to menu - info - service to see that info.

It is a good work, but it lacks some arrangement, and some information about the image does not appear, and sometimes it appears incomplete , and missed some of important plugins screens
I modified it and will try put it today here for you .. probably finished
I am not a developer, but i am used to modifying the skins that i use , i have modified -adapted many skins for myself

Its not entirely true. The problem is OpenPLi missing some stuff in serviceinfo/PLiExtraInfo converters.

As you can see here on OE-A there is info about the stream.

So what is important plugins is subjective. But if you can add the screens with current style then you are welcome. I have added mainly the plugins i use and one requested.

Regarding what missing or incomplete you have to specify what and where is missing or incomplete?

But it is present in the current default skin ? Why does it work there then?

Well it is there because is taken from another place.....For example however resolution and FPS is missing for some streams even in default skin.....

GStreamer not always reports video height and width for example so it have to be taken from the decoder directly (/proc/stb/vmpeg/0/xres, /proc/stb/vmpeg/0/yres). But that is not done in PLi.

So in my skin i use ServiceInfo converter for providing the info and in default skin i think PLiExtraInfo converter is used.

OK but i dont plan to install it...Besides it contains custom converters which i was trying to avoid.

What i am interested in is the plugin screens that i may add in the main package ;)

Still will be good to know what you find missing or incomplete :)
