I don’t have similar equipment and I can’t simulate such a situation in any way.

 

I can setup my Duo2 and give you remote access, if that helps?

 

I think it only has 3 tuners, and I don't have a coax to connect them to, but that shouldn't be an issue for testing I assume?


Currently in use: VU+ Duo 4K (2xFBC S2), VU+ Solo 4K (1xFBC S2), uClan Usytm 4K Ultimate (S2+T2), Octagon SF8008 (S2+T2), Zgemma H9.2H (S2+T2)

Due to my bad health, I will not be very active at times and may be slow to respond. I will not read the forum or PM on a regular basis.

No: the box will not check if you're trustworthy. As long as you setup one tuner as motorised (even just for one satellite) and another as DiSEqC 1.0 you're done. No actual feeds are required. Anyway: stand-by for my logs.

1- I can't reproduce the issue on my ET8k.

Not sure if that's because the box has only 2 tuners or because of the brand.

 

2- Now the reproducing on my DUO2 under ViX (latest dev build).

First I added 19.2E to tuners C&D and tried to create a timer on TV5MondeEurope on 19.2E. This results in a timer conflict, as showing in pict TC-01. Mind you: 19.2E is available on 3 tuners.

Next I disabled 19.2E from tuners C&D, and creating the same timer is fine. Mind you: 19.2E is now only on the motorised dish. See attached debuglog, covering this whole episode.

So to summarize: E2 refuses to use a motorised dish for recordings when the same satellite is available on a fixed dish.

Even if this causes a timer conflict, that would be solved if the motor would be used.

2 slot

C --> Vuplus DVB-S NIM(AVL6222)  --> I2C_Device: 4 --> /proc/stb/frontend/2/rf_switch:external   have internal loopthrough??

D --> Vuplus DVB-S NIM(AVL6222)  --> I2C_Device: 4 --> /proc/stb/frontend/3/rf_switch:external

Not sure if that helps for this issue, but there is indeed no internal loopthrough between the two tuner slots. There is only a physical looptrough between them if they are single tuners.

The only internal looptrough available is between the two tuners of one slot (in case they are dual tuners).

I'm very sorry, but there is no main information in this log. Based on it, you can find an error. Here is an example from openpli:

There is nothing to understand in this log at all.

Expose the tuner settings that lead to conflicts.

Delete all timers. Restart GUI in debug log, add timers one by one until you get a timer conflict.

I think I'm starting to understand what's going on.

When channels 19.2 in the list of services are not gray, then which of the tuners tuned to satellite 19.2 is free.

So the problem is in the timer check module.

 

But that's just my guess.

I think we will find and fix this mistake.
