Hi,

 

with this image (topic title) the plugins ardmediathek and zdfmediathek from feed settings cannot be saved.

when saving nothing is written to /etc/enigma2/settings

Maybe select it in backup plugin…. When the plugin writes the config in an improper place… or ask the plugin makers to save it in a proper location.

If I look at the source of the ZDF plugin, it uses "config.plugins.zdf". So it does the right thing.

You know /etc/enigma2/settings is only written when you terminate Enigma (shutdown or restart)?

yes i know that   but for reconfigure in the plugin you didn't need a gui restart that works normally if you exit the plugin and reopen it. 

The problem is that if i reconfigure something in the plugin itself, it is simply not taken over.

there is also nothing in the /etc/enigma2/settings afterwards.

if i stop enigma2 and edit the /etc/enigma2/settings manually as example as follows;

config.plugins.ARD.DESC=True
config.plugins.ARD.Region=bw
config.plugins.ARD.SaveResumePoint=True
config.plugins.ARD.savetopath=/media/hdd/movie/__Streams/_Mediatheken/
config.plugins.ZDF.SaveResumePoint=True
config.plugins.ZDF.savetopath=/media/hdd/movie/__Streams/_Mediatheken/
config.plugins.ZDF.SkinColor=MiniTV,#0a1232,#02050e,#192d7c

then all is ok after i start enigma2 with init 3 again.

 

There is a similar problem in FileCommander but only where you set the startup folder (in my case if i change it to /).

The plugin should save the settings within the plugin itself.
Likely when restarting enigma2 it does not save nothing due to a kind of crash?

maybe but i can't see a crash the box is normally operable after i change the configuration in the plugin directly.
