I think that it will be better to describe what you want to achieve than trying to discuss a solution for a problem that we know nothing about.
Why don't you simply play your mp4 file from the mediaplayer?

I think you can use the kill command.
first list je processes..
ps
Then search for the specific item and use
kill (number)
E.g. Kill 1234
Plinux member We have a.. (ehmm.. morgage) house.
