Inverto Static mode

Hallo everybody,

I'm going to buy the inverto programmable LNB

configured in static mode with 32 trasponder fixed allocated to the 32 user band.

How shall I configure the satellite/LNB (if I set unicable I can select only one UB, so I suppose I shall select a different option) ?

How shall I scan then the channel (the user bands frequency should not match the trasponder IF assumed for an universal LNB )?

I really do not understand the quote.

As I write I plan to use the inverto in static mode, not dynamic.

I think you don't really know how static mode works.

 

In Dynamic mode, each receiver has a UB,

Let's say receiver 1 uses UB1 (1210 MHz),

When you zap and select channels on channel list, only one Transponder will appear on that UB 1 frequency. It will be the transponder your receiver asks LNB. Every time you zap, receiver will ask LNB for the (new?) desired Transponder.

 

But in Static mode, you have to previously program LNB with SAT frequency & Pol. you want to carry on UB1, which one on UB2, UB3......

It's not a mode to work with individual receivers.

It's a mode to work, f.i. when using DVB-S/S2 to DVB-T/C Transmoduladors. and that transmoduladors can't work with unicable dynamic mode.

 

Let's say you have 4 DVB-S to DVB-C Transmodulators which receive, 11229 Vertical (Astra) , 12699 Vertical, 11053 Hor., and 12383 Hor.

 

You previously programm LNB to:

11229 Vertical => UB1 (1210 MHz)

12699 Vertical => UB2 (1420 MHz)

11053 Horizon => UB3 (1680 MHz)

12383 Horizon => UB4 (2040 MHz)

 

and you have to program Transmodulator 1 input frequency to UB1 (1210 MHz.), Transmodulator 2 to UB2, and so on......

You only need one cable and may be a splitter, unless transmodulators have F output connector to feed signal to another one) .

The advantage using Unicable instead of Quad/Quattro LNB, is that in Unicable you have all bands/Pol using only one cable, because each UB is individually configured.

 

If you did this with QUAD/QUATTRO LNBs, you would need 4 cables from sat dish, because 4 signals are different Band/Pol.

Why not?

Using your example:

 

11229 Vertical => UB1 (1210 MHz)

12699 Vertical => UB2 (1420 MHz)

11053 Horizon => UB3 (1680 MHz)

12383 Horizon => UB4 (2040 MHz)

 

I could have unlimited individual receiver to receive all that transponder in parallel without conflicts.

 

I know that at the end the the unicable is more flexible, but I have some constraint and I cannot use the unicable (there are some diseqc element between my apartment and the LNB).

A good solution for me is to use the static mode, I will not have all the channels ,but I will have more channels than what I need.

 

I only need to understand how to tune these static channels.

I cant remember exactly where I read this on the Inverto site. From what I can remember:

Static mode allows you to configure each user band on LNB to a transponder on satellite. Every device will then be able access all the transponders without having to specify SCR frequency on every device communicating with the LNB. And also allows more devices to be connected. I don't know whether E2 has been coded to work with an LNB/switch in static mode.

Yes, you can do it, you have first to program LNB to which frequencies you want to enable.

But you lose many frequencies, because LNB can process only 32 Tp, and satellite positions like Astra 19, Astra 28,  or Hotbird have more than 32 Tp.

 

Enigma 2, afaik, has no way to work easily with unicable static mode, because you know UB frequencies, (1210 Mhz. f.i.) but you have to "transcode" to Universal LNB ones to be entered in sat searching.

If you can do Blind search, it'll be good....

I simply plan to program 32 hotbird's TP (these are more than what I really need, I only need the italian broadcaster), and I need to receive these TPs on the box.

 

My idea is to configure the box using universal LNB disabling the 22 Khz Tone, and manually scan using only low band and horizontal, using the "equivalent trasponder frequency": IF frequency (the UB frequency) + low LO frequency.

In my opinion shall work, and shall allow to share the same LNB on more box.

 

Clearly a dedicated mode shall be preferable.

I will see if I can contribute.

Ok. But I don't understand why you don't want to use Unicable Din.

The only reason would be that receivers you plan to use don't have unicable mode, or that you want to use more than 32 receivers.

My pre-existing antenna setup was composed of a stacker/destacker diseqc addressing two LNB.

One of the two LNB is 1/4 of the quattro addressing the pre-existing sat to cable converter for astra, so I cannot replace it.

The second was for hotbird.

Now I would like to replace hotbird LNB with one able to feed more than one receiver, but diseqc and unicable are incompatible (I tested it), so my solution is use the static mode, in this way I don't need to send any command to the lnb and the system should work.

 

Is more a workaround to fix the ugly setup without changing a lot.

Works flawlessly in any combination diseqc 1.0 /1.1 /1.1+1.0(cascade)

I'm quite sure.

The problem is not the LNB, the problem is the frequency converter (johansson 9645 kit).

The unicable commands enter into the device but do not exit towards the LNB.

I checked with the scope.

 

Bye the way, analysing with the scope I do not see the diseqc tone burst (position A/B).

Is it known, or I'm wrong?
