Hi all

i'm doing exactly as per Pli app note ( movieplayer on Dream7000 and VLC 0.8.6f on a PC running mandriva 2009

Everything running fine, i.e watching films residing on the PC thru the Dreambox, provided the Firewall is completely disabled...which seems to me a bit unlikely!!!
I have tried several levels of security ( thks to Mcc ) from Std to paranoid...none of them provide connexion...only closing the F/W allows dream and PC talk together
I'm using server port 8080 and stream port 9090 ( validated in the personnal firewall configuration )

Any idea to solve this difficulty would be appreciated

It's for sure the firewall. Maybe you can check a log to see what is blocked.
