i was using openspa but decided i would like to go back to openpli 8.3 so before i started i backed up my settings now i have loaded 8.3 on i would like to restore the settings but cannot find a way can some one help please----------' thanks

Parameters can be different between image so there is "protection" mechanism to avoid to restore setting from one image to another one.
So you have to find where OpenSPA create the backup, unpack it manually and copy manually the files, I guess that you mainly want to retrieve your userbouquet, lamedb et perhaps softcam setup those should be bring problems.
But you should probably avoid to restore the /etc/enigma2/settings file.

hi thanks because i have now changed my box to a solo 4k. and am having real problems trying to get 27.5w sat working it is very comlpicated for me (age and memory) i have done all first files but now cannot get oscam etc. sorted..
