Is it possible to feed 4 LNB's in 1 cable to a VU+ Ultimo HD and still have access to several channels on all positions? What do I need?

Then you would need a Unicable II setup for four positions.

4 Unicable 2 lnb’s

1 Unicable 2 multiswitch for four positions. Very expensive.

Check out the site of inverto.tv or better the site of one of our sponsors, Jultec.

You can also use programmable Unicable LNB's. Give each 8 userbands, non-overlapping, then use a unicable combiner to connect them together.

No switch needed (but less flexible, as you have to pre-assign tuners).

To difficult for my knowledge... :-(

Just think of it like a diseqc switch. With a diseqc switch, physically, you connect it to a port. In software, (tuner config), you tell it which port to use.

For unicable, you would need programmable LNB and also a programmer unless seller can program them for you. The programming basically assigns it a position number. In tuner config, for programmable LNBs, you can tell it which position the LNB is.

The forum has a sponsor, so check with them first. The programmers are expensive!

Unicable switches for 1 or 2 positions are reasonably affordable, the problem is if you want 3 or 4 positions, and even more if you want to use 4 quattro's (so 16 input ports). Jultec is one of the few making them, but mainly for GSO's, expect prices exceeding 500-750 euro.

Some switches support 4 positions if you opt for wideband LNB's, so you need only 8 inputs instead of 16. But the problem with widebands is that you need a very large dish or something like a T-90, due to the large LNB head (no bullet versions available).
