What is running locally on the box that provides those streams?

Currently in use: VU+ Duo 4K (2xFBC S2), VU+ Solo 4K (1xFBC S2), uClan Usytm 4K Ultimate (S2+T2), Octagon SF8008 (S2+T2), Zgemma H9.2H (S2+T2)

Due to my bad health, I will not be very active at times and may be slow to respond. I will not read the forum or PM on a regular basis.

Hi. As @WanWizard also writes... something on your set-top box must be running as a local server at address 127.0.0.1 and port 8088. What is it? Any UDPXY proxy? Or just some cache server? Or what kind of thing is that? That's all right ? This local server?

Hi,

I would guess that it is streamlink.

Thanks for the replies,

In my box I have various setting folders including IPTV and webcam lists.

From webcam folder I will post exact links hosted by those providers. I can watch them with openhdf images without problem.I also want to watch them with openPLI images. When I tried 8.0-8.1 and 8.3 versions youtube and some ordinary links are played well but those samples which I attached below are all failed and offline screen came. However those links are not offline and played well at Openhdf images. Also no problem at PC or notebook.

Here the samples:

Then you have something installed in openhdf that is not installed in your openpli installation because these links all point to something running on the box itself, like @s3no wrote, for example a stream proxy.

Which I don't understand, http://127.0.0.1:808.../icmeler-beach/ is a standard MP4 HLS stream...

It suggests that indeed Streamlink is installed there.

No I did not installed an extra software or something like that. I only downloaded  "openhdf-6.5-196-sf8008-backup-20230418_1237_mmc" image from their original link and set it up to an empty slot in my box. I installed my channel settings including those webcam links.

Then made a simple adjustment at channel list settings > Recordings/Playback > Recordings/Playback Settings >  "activate Streamlinkserver for Youtube videos", change to "Yes". That's it. This action also worked for all other video streams together with youtube videos.

But I can not find similar adjustement at channel list settings in all my openpli versions which I installed multiboot slots.

I am asking my be a software is serving for the same action but which software I could not find.

Exactly, it has streamlink server installed.

OpenPLi is different, we don't install everything but the kitchen sink by default, what is in the image, is the minimum that is needed.

You'll have to find a compatible version somewhere, as we don't have it in the feed.

Yesterday, I flashed latest 9.0 release eagerly hoping above webcam problems are as I told above are being solved but sadly realized that everything are same even youtube sourced webcams are failed to play.

For some 7... and 8... releases below commands by telnet are working for some of them. But for 9.0 release it is useless.

opkg update

opkg install streamlinksrv
opkg install streamlink
opkg install streamlink streamlinksrv

We should have streamlinksrv in the feeds, it is available on develop ( I don't have a 9.0-release image running at the moment ).

root@ustym4kpro:~# opkg list | grep streamlink
streamlinksrv - 1.8.2-10-gef91075-r0.0 - streamlinksrv version gitAUTOINC+ef9107543f-r0
