Hi,

When I record videos on TNT or Satellite, ap files are created and if I delete them, an extension can construct them (again), but there are not created and can't be constructed for IPTV files while all the other files (meta, eit, sc, cuts and ts) are created.

Then I can't cut them with the extension :(  .

Is it impossible ?

Thank you :)  .

I guess it depends on the media type, as it is specific to MPEG-TS, you need MPEG I-frames in the data.

Currently in use: VU+ Duo 4K (2xFBC S2), VU+ Solo 4K (1xFBC S2), uClan Usytm 4K Ultimate (S2+T2), Octagon SF8008 (S2+T2), Zgemma H9.2H (S2+T2)

Ok, thank you WanWizard but something seems surprising to me. When I use the editor and I put markers, there are memorized. Then why the tool can't use these markers to remove the "bad" sequences? What is stored in the ap file?

AP's are Stream Access Points, they are pointers within the MPEG-TS stream from where decoding can start (i.e. where no previous information is needed).

If the plugin doesn't create the .ap file, it suggests the IPTV recording doesn't contain SAP's (it can only be decoded from the start of stream).

See https://github.com/O...rparse.cpp#L643 for details (the code also mentions this fact).

Need test.

Rename your_file.stream as your_file.ts

and use plugins  ReconstructApSc/Cutlist editor/Movie Cut

Dimitrij, there are no files .stream, only 5 files as I said previously : .meta, .eit, .sc, .cuts and .ts. These are the same files as for TNT or satellite, just missing the .ap file.

WanWizard, what do you mean with decoding? To read the file with MediaPlayer? If I cut the file on my Windows PC with another application, MoviePlayer can read it. These application is not convenient and can't cut inside the file.

1)Rename your_file.stream as your_file.ts

2)Run plugin Reconstruct AP/SC -->auto create new .ap file

3)use Cutlist editor/Movie Cut

@Dimitri its file is directly a .ts file and not a .stream file.

@sjlouis use the plugin mentionned by Dimitri on your .ts file

@sjlouis already mentioned in his opening post that the plugin doesn't generate the ap file again, hence my remark that the file might be transcoded without APs.

Or it is called .ts but isn't an MPEG-TS file ( mediainfo should be able to tell us that ).

Yes, WanWizard is right. I had already tried Reconstruct AP/SC before creating my post but it didn't reconstruct the AP file. I had also deleted an AP file for a valid TNT record and the plugin had created the AP file.

WanWizard, I've just installed MediaInfo and I thought it can be used with the menu of MoviePlayer but it's not present. Then I went in the plugins and it's noted Stream Downloader for MediaInfo. When I select it, I don't know how to have informations. Are you sure it's the good plugin?

Yes, I've downloaded the plugin MediaInfo. If it's not the good program, what is "Mediainfo on the box" ?

Otherwise, you can see in the image I've joined that the files recorded by my Vu+ are MPEG-TS files. Then, what is wrong?

Dimitrij, if it were stream files, then the standard reconstructapsc plugin can create AP files ?
