Forgive me if my question has been already asked, but I was unable to find it in the forum as well as in the documentation.

Is there any way to stream the video/audio output of openpli device to another pc connected in the same lan?

In other words, I want to use the monitor of my pc as it if were a television getting the stream from my openpli device (zgemma H5), and change channels using the remote control of the same openpli device without the need to touch my pc.

Thank you for your help.

You might try the open webinterface by approaching the box via http;//ipaddressofyourbox open a channellist and push one of the three icons next to the name. If you have a box which can transcode use the right icon.

I'm already able to do this, but I want a different thing: I want to replicate the screen appearing on the television on a pc.

Same as "web tv" that however displays on webif only video and that the user can refresh only after x seconds.

You cannot cast the screen of your STB as-is.

But what you can do is download the full .m3u of your favorite and use it into a player like VLC on your PC and you will be able to zap from within VLC.

If your STB has only one tuner then turn it into standby when using this method. But you won't get the EPG of the channel.

To download the .m3u of your favorite, in OpenWebif (classic interface) click on the TV just close to the name of your favourite.

If using the PC to select/change channel is not suitable for your needs, maybe get a HDMI sender? Or use the Kodi plugins for E2 streaming.
