Good evening forum

 

I have a qviart dual 4k that i play around with, i have openpli 8.3 17/4/2023 release in slot 4 on multiboot. I have been trying to get the icam channel to clear on 19e for sometime. I have the following set up on slot 1 and 2, openatv, and pure2. Installed dreamsat panel and install a channel list with know icam channels. Downloaded ncam 13.7 and added my server line into ncam.server. Both these images are clearing the channels fine. Now on openpli and cobraliberosat images i cannot get this to work. The same set up ncam fails in install correctly but i have found that if i install the ipk but shorten the name it installs via the software manager. Checking this is running in the webif and adding my server keys. When i select these icam channels the picture does not clear and the box just holds for approx 1 minute. After this is can select any normal channel and the picture reappears. I have also installed the oscam from the softcam menu system and once again this does not clear. Can anyone shead some light on this or is it simply that those channels are not supported. 

 

Ps this is my fist post and just saying a hello to everyone.

 

I've been playing with a few images for openpli and cobraliberosat and feeding information back if i find any issue.

Sounds like a security library incompatibility....  I'm afraid you need to install a softlink package that 'forwards' to the existing libraries. Those icam binaries are build on ancient security libraries (why?)

Thanks everyone for the feedback I was just trying the help out make this box a little bit more successful. It works on other images and it probably beyond what I know what to do. I'll just leave it as it is for now.

Do on the box in putty/telnet/ssh 'opkg install libcrypto-compat' and try again... The icam binaries you find on the internet do need 'old' libcrypto stuff...

Thanks for everybody's help ncam 13.7 is the latest release. On open atv and pure2 i have not issues. The openpli image for dual does come with a later version of oscam and i am sure it should decrypt those channels. Ncam is working for non icam channels. I am unsure what else i would need to do the get it to work.

 

I have been trying to help with the images via cobraliberosat and we have got the remote responding and with the new pli images the overscan is now the correct size. So i'm only just after the icam channels its just one of a couple of items i've been trying to address.

Sorry to say. I was not successful yet with the oscam-emu from our feeds... I needed to replace it by my own homebuild binary.

I also tested binaries from the WWW... but for all of them (at least) this was mandatory... 'opkg install libcrypto-compat'  ... which is also a good reason not to use them as they use older crypto stuff....(unless it is softlink to the later). I'm afraid those binaries prefer to be compatible with ancient images....

How about this one: oscam-smod. Works on my box without libcrypto-compat.

On the dual I have also installed ncam 13.7 which seems to work fine other than decode the 19.2 channels. Oscam latest emu rev 798 also does not work. The feed Oscam is the same. I will test on solo4k when I get chance.

Tested the oscam-emu we have in de develop (nightly build) feed, and the iCAM part in there works fine.

 

If it doesn't, you may have

• an incorrect setup
• no (connection to a) smartcard that can provide the keys
• selected a cwoe channel and not have the correct box keys for it

because binaries from your FEED are just bins with a lot of bugs as the other teams ....

i give you a binary which will work from : openpli 0.xx, ........., openpli 8.xx,........ ,openpli 100.xx, .....  ,etc, ....................... ,openpli ∞,

you will not need libraries or libcrypto-compat ...etc

It is better to publish the source, so we can exactly see what you put in your binaries, and build our own binaries.

 

So they are always ok, don't need installer scripts, static libraries, and free of worries about what else is hidden in those binaries...

 

The fact compat libraries are needed is already an indication you're building against an outdated environment.

 

The upstream of your builds is published under GPL, which requires you to publish your sources if requested.
