Hello,

I got a VU+ Turbo SE stick and can't get it to work on my VU+ Duo 4K SE with my up-to-date OpenPLI (release version).

it shows under lsusb:

Bus 004 Device 002: ID 0572:0320 Conexant Systems (Rockwell), Inc. DVBSky T330 DVB-T2/C tuner

and I installed enigma2-plugin-drivers-s2-usb-dvbsky-s960 - 1.0-r0.5 -  showing up under lsmod:

dvb_usb_dvbsky          7610  0
dvb_usb_v2             21125  1 dvb_usb_dvbsky

but under the menu setup->tuner & scanning->tuner configuration it is not shown.

am I missing something?

thank you

Have the same USB device. Never got it to work with OpenPli. The firmware is not available. Even with VTi this stick didn’t work (got recognised though). Even with disabling the internal DVB-C tuner in VTi it didn’t scan anything! Tried for a few months and then trew it in the bin. €60 down the drain… Completely and utterly unusable…..

I also remember that it required kernel 3.15+

The driver should be DVB T330

I have tried one on a GigaBlue Trio 4K using OpenPli 8.3. Installed driver DVBsky-T330 and rebooted the box. Got into Tuner and enabled tuner C. After another reboot the box actually DID work! This box has kernel 4.4. Even encrypted channels worked.
Perhaps mine was DOA from the beginning who knows

It is in the drivers section of the feed…If your Duo4K has a suitable kernel this should work..

any idea, when it may be released?

I want to keep the release version... for stability.
is it possible to just the ipk.deb package containing the change?

should, but doesn't :-( (Kernel / Drivers:  4.1.45 / 20210527)

The upcoming 9.0-release will be the same as the current develop, so in terms of stability there is no difference. You can always flash the release when it becomes available.

Currently in use: VU+ Duo 4K (2xFBC S2), VU+ Solo 4K (1xFBC S2), uClan Usytm 4K Ultimate (S2+T2), Octagon SF8008 (S2+T2), Zgemma H9.2H (S2+T2)

Due to my bad health, I will not be very active at times and may be slow to respond. I will not read the forum or PM on a regular basis.

It should though. If kernel is higher than 3.15. Old VU+Ultimo4K won’t (kernel lower). The Duo4K is 4.1 so kernel-wise no problem

If you can’t read (or won’t) I can’t help you. DVBSKY-T330! Is that so hard to read??
And another thing: Throwing every (wrong) driver in your box doesn’t help either…

That a kernel driver is in the feed for one particular box doesn't say anything about other boxes.

It needs to be supported by the kernel version, and if so, it needs to be enabled in the BSP's kernel defconfig. And then it needs to be enabled in the build.

If I look in the feeds for 8.3-release, I see

./gbtrio4k/enigma2-plugin-drivers-ct2-usb-dvbsky-t330_1.0-r0.3_gbtrio4k.ipk
./gbtrio4k/enigma2-plugin-drivers-dvb-usb-technisat-skystar_1.0-r0.4_gbtrio4k.ipk
./gbtrio4k/enigma2-plugin-drivers-s2-usb-dvbsky-s960_1.0-r0.3_gbtrio4k.ipk
./gbtrio4k/kernel-module-dvb-usb-dvbsky-4.4.35_4.4.35-.7.9_gbtrio4k.ipk

but for the same box in develop

./gbtrio4k/enigma2-plugin-drivers-dvb-usb-technisat-skystar_1.0-r0.8_gbtrio4k.ipk
./gbtrio4k/kernel-module-dvb-usb-dvbsky-4.4.35_4.4.35-.7.7_gbtrio4k.ipk

according to the build config, it should be build for all kernels > 3.19

meta-openpli/recipes-openpli/enigma2-dvb-drivers/dvb-usb-drivers-meta.bb:	${@ 'enigma2-plugin-drivers-ct2-usb-dvbsky-t330' if ("${KERNEL_VERSION}" and bb.utils.vercmp_string("${KERNEL_VERSION}", '3.19') > 0) else '' } \

but appearently that doesn't happen (anymore)?

I read and understood and thankfull for your help. I unfortunately missed it before I installed the development image.
Just wrote, that I am unable to find any such driver using the nightly build. Neither on console nor using GUI:

Attached File  1_0_A_28A4_40F_1_C00000_0_0_0_20230814180007.jpg   104.72KB   0 downloads

That's why I tried to ask kindly, if it's possible, that this driver is only available for the stable/release version - as I don't know how to look in those feeds directly. accessing http://downloads.openpli.org/feeds/ gives just "Forbidden".

There is a build issue, so at the moment nothing much you can do. Looking into it.

Think I've found the issue, it should be in the develop feed after the current build run is finished.
