You might reboot the box and probably the size of the font is back to normal.
Some other brands that Dags support show the same issue.

Smells like a driver bug. If ATV doesn't have that problem, it might also be something that was fixed in the newer driver we never received.

Currently in use: VU+ Duo 4K (2xFBC S2), VU+ Solo 4K (1xFBC S2), uClan Usytm 4K Ultimate (S2+T2), Octagon SF8008 (S2+T2), Zgemma H9.2H (S2+T2)

With "initual skin" you mean the Qviart boot logo, or do you mean the OpenPLi startup screen?

MY BOX IS HANGED ON "Initial Skin" After i Flashed New firmware 9.0.

Hello Friends, i am Having Qviart Lunix, it was running Open Pli firmware from 2017, i updated with the latest version openpli-9.0-release-lunix-20241027_usb, the Installation was smooth & successful but after the reboot now the stb is hanged on Qviart Linux Boot Logo, tried 2-3 times power on-off

it just flashes twice on the Boot Logo and don't go further, No Pli Home Menu.

Further searching on the pli forum came to know that they don't have the original driver from the manufacturer, so the new images after 7.1 is not compatible, where as Open ATV IMAGE

works.

Now my problem is that since its hanged on boot logo, No Image is Detected via USB, be it Open ATV, PureE2 , Openspa, Nothing flashes on the Screen saying New Update Found,

The Only thing is that I can Communicate with the stb Via WINSCP and Putty, i can see all the folders and transfer files.

I want to know is there any way i can install New Image Open Atv via file transfer, if yes than please tell me how? and in in which folder should i Place the Image Firmware,

and the Syntax Command,

Thanks.

For you the same question, does it hang on the Qviart logo ( i.e. the box doesn't boot ), or on the OpenPLi 9.0 logo ( i.e. Enigma doesn't start ) ?

edit: ah, now see your earlier post. So it doesn't boot.

No idea what we mean with "no original driver"? All drivers are original, there is no difference between what we use and what other images use.

If the box doesn't detect the USB device, make sure you disconnect ALL other USB devices, and use an old, small sized (max. 4GB) USB 2.0 stick. New and large USB3 devices take to long to initialize, the bootloader doesn't wait that long.

Also, if you can connect to the box with PuTTY, it means it DOES boot, which is in contradiction to your earlier statement.

If you can connect to the box with PuTTY or WinSCP, it has booted, it has even loaded a working network stack.

Boot or reboot the box, and connect to it with PuTTY.

Check if Enigma is running:

ps | grep enigma | grep -v grep

does it run?

If it does, stop it with

init 4

and check again after 10-15 seconds or so.

Enter the command

dmesg

does it show any errors or other unexpected messages?

Also check

cat /var/log/messages

for errors.

Try starting Enigma manually:

ENIGMA_DEBUG_LVL=4 enigma2

does it terminate with error messages?

Excellent

My first reaction would be: box with broken RAM memory.

But lets rule out damaged files in flash first. Please do

opkg update

to make sure your opkg index files are up to date.

Then do

opkg list-installed | while read f; do opkg install ${f%% *} --force-reinstall; done

( copy and paste as 1 line ! )

This will force a reinstallation of every package currently installed, overwriting any corrupted files. This may take a while. When done, reboot the box, and see if it made a difference.

Currently in use: VU+ Duo 4K (2xFBC S2), VU+ Solo 4K (1xFBC S2), uClan Usytm 4K Ultimate (S2+T2), Octagon SF8008 (S2+T2), Zgemma H9.2H (S2+T2)

Due to my bad health, I will not be very active at times and may be slow to respond. I will not read the forum or PM on a regular basis.

Many answers to your question can be found in our new and improved wiki.

I've already seen that, the point was the second command, to reinstall everything. If this works you'll have your box back without any data loss, if this doesn't work, flashing from the commandline is the next step.
