How do I make a TOTAL reset on the Ultimo 4K? After reset, a lot of software still inn the box.

Flash the image again, make sure you select with no backup. When it restarts, pay attention to the screen. If it prompts you to restore, say no.

You can use the remote to "Flash image" ( Assuming you are using PLI. Other images use different names, but in essence process is the same). If you don't see it, make sure user mode = expert.

The safest and cleanest way to flash firmware to the set-top box is via a USB memory stick. Just format the USB memory stick to FAT32 and then move the unzipped latest OpenPLi build-version (intended for your set-top box) to this USB memory stick.

Vu+ devices usually use a "FORCE" flashing process. So there is no need to confirm or press anything during the booting of the set-top box with the inserted USB key. Flashing starts automatically - without the user's intervention. Therefore, after the firmware has been flashed, a rapidly flashing light will appear on the front panel or, in your case, a message about successful completion. After flashing, it is important to remove your USB stick out of the set-top box ! Do not use it again in the set-top box until you delete its contents, for example with the help of a PC. That's to be sure... so that the firmware flashing process is not FORCED again, after inserting the USB into the set-top box, although this only applies while the set-top box is booting.
