Perhaps, that ist the cause for the probelm with serienrecorder.

 

I have already made the crash log available to MacDisein.

Thank you very much for your help.
Resetting the DNS IPs produced the desired result.
With the stable internet connection, the serienrecorder now also runs correctly.

Openpli 9 is installed and up to date on my vu uno 4k se device. FCC and quadpip conflict. When I remove fcc, quadpid works fine, when I install it, quadpip does not show channel number 1.

The UCLan Media Player plugin is not working. I reinstalled a new image and again it doesn't work. On AB Pulse the Media Player plugin works. On UCLan the receiver crashes and doesn't even crashlog.

It blocks the receiver and only spins the spinner without creating a crash log. Media player plugin.

If you get a spinner, it didn't crash, it is waiting for a blocking task to complete. This can be anything, for example trying to access a mounted device that is no longer accessable.

Hello OpenPli Fans,
 

I flashed OpenPli 9 on my VU+ duo 4k SE and all went well when it comes to satellite reception, EPG...etc. I could also do a full backup without any problem.

However, I've faced multiple issues when it comes to using OpenPli 9 to access media on my NAS:

 

- random crashes when browsing directories containing filenames with special characters (known issue: RC 9.0 - Problems with Windows filenames that contain Umlauts - Page 4 - [EN] Test Feedback - Forums - Page 4 (openpli.org))

- issue with Kodi and OK button not working (workaround: use mute button - see AddOn plugin KODI - OK button not working - Page 2 - [EN] Enduser support - Forums - Page 2 (openpli.org))

- the following Plex plugin (which was really good - much better than the old Plex client) is now failing installation ("nothing provides python-textutils needed by DreamPlex-2.1.3.all") : GitHub - DonDavici/DreamPlex: Plex client for Enigma2

The above issues make OpenPli almost unusable to access media content on NAS.

Thanks to the OpenPli team and I hope the filename issue will be fixed soon!

• files not encoded in utf8: this is addressed by filtering these out, which was added to the release on October 27. If you still have crashes, please provide crash logs
• Kodi, no solution has been found yet
• We can't comment on external plugins. The fact that it requires python-textutils instead of python3-textutils points to the fact it is a python2 plugin (github repo confirms that, last update in 2018). Find a developer willing to upgrade the old code.

Are you sure your image is up to date? As I fixed this particular issue, with a Windows file with an umlaut in the name to test with, on October 27th.

 

If so, can you looking on the box, do an

ls -l

of the folder that is current, and post that here?

 

Alternatively, if the file you think it is crashing on isn't too big, can you post it online so we have something to test with?
