I can't imagine that needing any changes, given the fact in 8.3-release the same script works.

Changes are your skin has overwritten enigma core files. You can try:

init 4
opkg install enigma2 --force-reinstall

to get the original core files back. If you have removed the skin config, this should make the box start again.

 

You can't extract drivers, if you flash the box, you can simply install them again? And to extract a channel list, you need the files *.tv and *.radio from /etc/enigma2.

this absolutely does.

 

Did you install something that has overwritten code code again?

 

Do not install downloaded ipk's if you don't absolutely know they are compatible with OpenPLi 9. Most out there aren't.

I tried entering the file names directly, but it crashes

I thought that was a known issue, @Beeker was busy with that, and has made updates to develop, so you might want to try a nightly build image to test.

You keep going on about your wifi driver. What is so special about it? You installed it, so why can't you do that again?

 

I'd say

• get a USB stick
• format it in FAT32
• unpack the image on it
• plug it in the box
• go to "Auto backup" in the sytem menu, select USB as backup device, and make a manual backup on the USB stick.
• Reboot the box to flash it from the stick
• after the flash, say "yes" when prompted to restore a backup

You now have all your conifguration, including network settings and your channel list, back. All packages you've installed from our feeds are also installed again, and that should include the wifi driver. Anything you installed manually from downloaded ipk's isn't.

 

This should result in a stable box again.

Found source of the error, in the bouquet line markers were used like '------' to separate sections. I used the PC program dreamset to remove the markers, things are ok now

A plugin vfdpligin.caused it which seems not to be python 2 compatible. where do you get it from?

The crash is btw identical as the crash you get in the movielist have when you have non-utf8 files in the selected directory.

The problem is in iListableServicePtr::getContent().

 

When it returns a python str() that doesn't contain utf-8, Pytthon crashes when it is accessed.

 

It is the same code that is used to enumerate files in the movielist, by creating dummy servicerefs for it.
