Hi I am a newbie to this.., but not to sateliteheaven,  used to have a EchostarLT8700  back on those days. After the "turning" to dig receivers i have had several Dreambox and VU+ boxes..,

OK that history,   I Am at this moment using a VU+ DUO2..

This box have been a NOproblem unit! (With 8.3)  - Until i thoght it was a good idea to flash/upgrade to a newer image..  -9.0

HAAA, That was never a good idea!!   Only trouble and problems!!!  I do not understand why "you" published this as STABLE??

For me this build have caused A lot of SHIT... !!

I can name a few: Recording??  Pause??  Play rcorded??   Sound, different choiches on  Yellow button that i never had to think about before +more, RARE,stupid..

High volume on a Channel, and then very low or not volume atthe next!

Recording or playing recorded is Hacking,, and sometimes when usin yellow button an change sound.., Then hackin is gone! Play flawlessly..  Weird?

OK Gone back to 8.3 now..   Hope that will save my day..

BUT not before o got a little bit of help.

HELP!  I have a "torodial" something multidish with 0,8W,4,8E,13E,19E,23,5E

I am ganz sure it`s well "sighted" at the sattelites..

When i installed it 15 years ago i had signals/channels from all those., latest years i have had 13 o 19.. I can.t seem to get them tuned now!

Prettty sure this is a config issu..  Or?

I have 2x Diseq 6/1 svitch, and 2 cables in to the tuner.

Need help!

I have absolutely NO clue what you're on about.

There is hardly any difference between 8.3 and 9.0, especially not on a functional level. The main reason for the version update was a new OpenEmbedded release because Python 2 was end-of-life.

If you have tuning and recording issues, it sounds more like the power supply is on the way out, a common issues with old Duo and Duo 2 models.

Volume differences are most likely caused by an incorrect downmix setting. If it is off, the box sends AC3/AC3+ audio directly to the HDMI, without volume control, instead of downmixing it to 2-channel PCM which can be controlled by the box.

A bit late now, but a tip for the next time: flash the box from the menu with a backup, so you can have all your configuration restored after a flash, and don't have these issues.

Currently in use: VU+ Duo 4K (2xFBC S2), VU+ Solo 4K (1xFBC S2), uClan Usytm 4K Ultimate (S2+T2), Octagon SF8008 (S2+T2), Zgemma H9.2H (S2+T2)

Due to my bad health, I will not be very active at times and may be slow to respond. I will not read the forum or PM on a regular basis.

You need to install it from the feed, OpenPLi never installs optional packages.

On the commandline

init 4 && sleep 10 && opkg update && opkg install kernel-module-8812au && reboot

or using the software management plugin, in advanced options.

In all cases you need an internet connection, as all install them from the online feed.

Alternatively, put this on a USB stick, stick it in the box, and install it like that. You need to reboot the box for the driver to be loaded and the interface to show up.

Morning,
i have installed the online update this morning that contaiend the oscam-emu update.

What are the changes? I was unable to open the bbc satback. Used my backup, all fine. Never had any issues in the past after oscam-emu has been updated.

The changes are not in Oscam-emu, but the Oscam version used.

It now requires libdvbcsa, and we've noticed that for some reason, if you do a software update it is not being installed. But if you do an "opkg upgrade" from the commandline, it is.

We don't know why yet.

You can fix it manually by

  • manually installing it via the commandline ( opkg install libdvbcsa )
  • manually installing it via the software manager ( under advanced options, package management )
  • removing and reinstalling oscam or oscam-emu
  • flashing the box again (with a backup)

Which box and OpenPLi version is this?

It shouldn't be called "libdvbcsa1". That probably explains why the update fails in some cases?

The other packages are debug and development files, not needed on the box.

Also lately my bouqets get changed "on the fly" (after restart?) - don't know when and what script is doing that (adding those bouquets)?

All those bouquets are not from me?

Did I installed a 'false package' which imports these bouquets every x hours or after a restart?
