I have some trouble with somes channels when i update the epg with EPGImport.

 

Could you modify them ?

 

- Eurosport 1 and 2

- Discovery

- Discovery Science

- Planete A&E

- Sport 360 -> No EPG

- Motorsport TV -> No EPG

- Game One

- Comedy Central -> No EPG

 

I don’t know if I need to give you any more information?

All of this are IPTV (4097).....

If the refs are same like the real refs from the real services it will rather get the EPG from the sattelite.

If that are custom references then that is not fixed and in my opinion there is no point to be added in epgimport standard configuration.

But you can make your own configs...

I have many other channels that don’t have this problem of EPG.

EPG binds to the service ref. 

So if that service ref is not defined in the EPGImport sources it will not fill up EPG at all.

If a specific service ref is the same as other defined in EPGImport it will import EPG but mainly it will be wrong one.\

 

The problem is that when there is duplication in srefs that can not be fixed since the original channels will be broken.

 

Also if your srefs are custom there is no guarantee that at some point that sref will not change and will break the EPG import as well.

 

Its not good practice in my opinion to define IPTV srefs in EPGImport channel lists if they are not truly static.

Discovery Channel was renamed to TLC, but I no longer have the EPG for TLC.

What do I have to modify to find the EPG of the TLC channel?

And in what file ?

TLC is TLC.fr in rytec you need replace reference to DiscoveryScience.fr to TLC.fr

Probably in your: /etc/epgimport/custom.channels.xml

 

as already told the name for the TLC EPG is TLC.fr
