Good evening guys,

I have a small problem lately with the EPG Data on my VU Uno 4K box. I use both OpenPLI 8.3 and the new 9 version.

The problem:

I use Skylink channels from Czech Rep. both via Astra 23.5 (with my subscription) and also another iptv provider from Czech Rep. with almost all the same channels + some more like Skylink have.

CT 1 HD via Sat

CT 1 HD via IPTV

CT 24 HD via Sat

CT 24 HD via IPTV

Nova HD via Sat

Nova HD via IPTV

and so on...

For Skylink I get the EPG from its transponders. I use EPG Refresh and have the EPG for more then a week in advance. Worked great until few days back.

For IPTV provider I use the EPG xmltv file from Rytec and my IPTV Provider. I assigned all IPTV (not the SAT) channels with this file and use EPG Importer. Works great without any problems.

Suddenly since few days or a week I get the EPG Data from the IPTV channels also on the Skylink channels which I used to get via the transponder. The problem: It gets mixed up. EPG looks like this:

12:50 News
12:50 News

I never assigned any EPG from the xmltv file to the SAT channels. I can also see it on the E-Channelizer software I mostly use.

Do you have any idea how to remove this EPG on the SAT channels? I tried to deactive some EPG in the settings but without any luck.

Thanks so much!

The key in the EPG database is channel service reference. If multiple bouquet entries have the same service reference, they share the same EPG.

Note that there are some exceptions, the first and third number are generally ignored (stream type and screen format).

Currently in use: VU+ Duo 4K (2xFBC S2), VU+ Solo 4K (1xFBC S2), uClan Usytm 4K Ultimate (S2+T2), Octagon SF8008 (S2+T2), Zgemma H9.2H (S2+T2)

Due to my bad health, I will not be very active at times and may be slow to respond. I will not read the forum or PM on a regular basis.

Many answers to your question can be found in our new and improved wiki.

Thanks! But I didnt see any double service references. The references from iptv channels are different to them from SAT. Is there a way to delete the xmltv-EPG from the SAT channels and get the EPG data from the transponder again?

Hi.

I am giving one example of how a userbouquet file with IPTV stream-links and references to DVB-S/S2/S2X should look like.

#NAME IPTV (CZ/SK/PL/DE/HU)
#SERVICE 4097:0:19:13B4:C95:3:EB0000:0:0:0:http%3a//stream.address.for.markiza%3a5000/:Markíza HD
#DESCRIPTION Markíza HD
#SERVICE 4097:0:19:1329:CA2:3:EB0000:0:0:0:http%3a//stream.address.for.jednotka%3a5000/:Jednotka HD
#DESCRIPTION Jednotka HD
#SERVICE 4097:0:19:132A:CA2:3:EB0000:0:0:0:http%3a//stream.address.for.dvojka%3a5000/:Dvojka HD
#DESCRIPTION Dvojka HD

The number 5000 is just a randomly chosen port number... for better understanding.

%?? codes in the URL represent mandatory formatting of special characters in the URL standard (more info, for example, here: https://documentatio...Encoding.html).

I also recommend installing and setting up the ServiceApp package in Enigma2. Subsequently, you change all numbers 4097 to the desired player type such as 5002 (5001 ? 5003 ?) to use the ExtEplayer3 player, which can play many other Audio/Video formats. The built-in player under the number 4097 is quite limited to many formats.

However, in this example, the service reference codes are obsolete, since this is only an example of the userbouquet IPTV file format. You must therefore use new (that is, current) SRCs.

To assign SRC codes from satellite channels, to IPTV channels, in userbouquet files, it is possible to use, for example, the E-Channelizer application (paid version). Maybe the open source DreamboxEdit application can do it, but I'm not sure.

I sent you more details in a private message, in your native language.

ServiceApp is not required for 4097 references normally.

Only if the channel have problems playing then you need it so to switch to extplayer3.

Besides you can not use for recording services played through ServiceApp. But you can record normal 4097 services.

To assign IPTV channels to the SAT EPG its enough to set the reference the same like the sat channel except first number ofcource.

In this way it will load the EPG from the transponder of the sat channel.

I have tried that but it doesnt work since the importer doesnt know which channels from xml where (to which sref) maps

No its not possible, this files is used to map the channel_internal_reference (let's says DVB reference) with the "channel id" tag that is used in the file containing the real EPG data.

But you can specify a local file for it: channels="/path/to/your_own.channels.xml"

It's strange why this is needed.

And when use the epg.date format, also need channels="ххх"?

What is the point of downloading EPG when you not going to attach it to channel?

It's strange why this is needed.

And when use the epg.date format, also need channels="ххх"?

Look at file content will help you to understand;

You have a very first file that maps the download of the mapping and the data itself.

France - TNT (xz)

So this means that the rytec.channels.xml(.xq) will be used to map the data from rytecTNT_Basic(.xz)

In the rytec.channels.xml you have mapping like this:

1:0:1:12D:3E1C:13F:820000:0:0:0:

1:0:19:3750:6A4:13E:820000:0:0:0:

1:0:19:2460:440:1:C00000:0:0:0:

1:0:1:8:1:1:14A0000:0:0:0:

1:0:19:191:0:0:DDE2B58:0:0:0:

1:0:19:191:4FB0:55F:DDE0000:0:0:0:

1:0:16:967:18:1:FFFF0000:0:0:0:

1:0:19:2334:A9:1:FFFF0000:0:0:0:

1:0:19:26D:19:1:FFFF0000:0:0:0:

1:0:19:4E88:C9:1:FFFF0000:0:0:0:

1:0:19:89C:8E8:1:FFFF0000:0:0:0:

1:0:19:89C:8E8:1:FFFF0000:0:0:0:

1:0:1:501:5:20FA:EEEE0000:0:0:0:

1:0:19:601:6:20FA:EEEE0000:0:0:0:

So in the data file you have many entries like this:

  <programme start="20231124224500 +0000" stop="20231125010000 +0000" channel="TF1.fr">

Juge Arthur

  </programme>

So the data file is using the channel_id reference so you need to map the channel_id with the service reference in order to be able to have the EPG into Enigma2.

There is no channel_id notion into E2.
