It will do so if you have enabled it on the box.

That is about access to the Web Interface.
You need to look at "Require authentication for http streams", which is a setting in Setup - System - Customize.
Currently in use: VU+ Duo 4K (2xFBC S2), VU+ Solo 4K (1xFBC S2), uClan Usytm 4K Ultimate (S2+T2), Octagon SF8008 (S2+T2), Zgemma H9.2H (S2+T2)

What exactly are you doing with VLC? As you don't need to do anything, if you click on the "screen" icon in the web interface, it should start VLC automatically, and start playing.
As far as I can see in the code, it only prompts for authentication if enabled in the config ( which it isn't according to your screen shot ).

I thought that @Tech was very clear in https://forums.openp...dpost&p=1622245, you browse to the web interface, and click on the TV icon next to the channel you want to watch. After which VLC should start ( if not, you need to configure it as your default media player ).

Hi
I'm doing exactly the same.
In the web interface, I click on the TVI icon, 2 options of VLC appear, save and cancel, I click on save, then VLC is downloaded.
When I open VLC this page opens,

No Idea, I don't use Windows. You need to fix your conifguration, it shouldn't prompt to save anything.

When watching the channel on the receiver, the picture quality is good.
And when the channel from the receiver is streaming to the computer, the picture quality deteriorates.
why like this?

You're not clicking on the mobile icon are you, instead of on the screen/monitor icon? The mobile icon creates a transcoded stream for small screens or low-bandwidth connections.
The normal stream is the standard MPEG-TS stream that is received, as-is, as send to the TV (or as it is recorded).

So quality is either a perception or the result of the difference between PC (transcoding for size, poor LCD quaility, etc) and TV.
