It has been my first meeting with a CI+ module and so I have several questions.

First of all, do the default settings seem ok?

When is it necessary to use RESET or INIT menu entries?

What is CI BOOT DELAY? Is it supposed to be selected by trial and error? What happens if it is set too low or too high?

Is there no information regarding entitlements, CAID, PROVID etc?

Defaults are usually ok.

The only thing you may need to check is multiservice, as that relies on clues in the name. If your module supports more than 1 channel (on the same transponder), but it doesn't work, then you may have to change the "auto" value.

Reset or Init are hardly ever needed, if your module gets stuck, disable / enable works faster and often better.

And if your module works, it doesn't need a boot delay ;).

Currently in use: VU+ Duo 4K (2xFBC S2), VU+ Solo 4K (1xFBC S2), uClan Usytm 4K Ultimate (S2+T2), Octagon SF8008 (S2+T2), Zgemma H9.2H (S2+T2)

Due to my bad health, I will not be very active at times and may be slow to respond. I will not read the forum or PM on a regular basis.

Many answers to your question can be found in our new and improved wiki.

Mutliple service support is not really auto, it just known very limited list of modules that are reported to be working.

So it is better to turn it on manually and enable also the high speed.

So there is very little chance that my CI+ CAM module can process several channels at the same time.

Luckily, I can use my card in the slot too.

If you're lucky, the CI+ is capable to decrypt two channels within the same transportstream.....
