If you can assist me to make the latest ABM files so it works on python 2 images, that would be greatly appreciated.

Anything wrong with the version in OpenPLi 8.3 ?

And this is why we pin external plugins.

The ABM pinning has been updated in 8.3-release, appearently without any testing, current build fails on all images.

same issue as with other OE-A plugins that have been changed to python 3.11, no longer compatible with older versions.

I'm going to revert that commit.

ABM seems to have configs for providers… but is is somehow embeded into the code so you cannot update them seperately.

The general problem is that maintainers don't give a crap about compatibility, they are only concerned about the image they use themselfs.

I thought the main goal was to get an updated ABM on older images? Appearently the maintainers couldn't care less...

At least provide an option in the code for users to download the latest dataset. But then again, they will have to keep that compatible...

No, not me.

It is related to the other discussion, about OE-A / ATV changing things without any regards to other users and compatibility.
