Hi guys.

I have some issues with DVB subtitles.

1. DVB subtitles look strange on my cable channels.

They are jagged and ugly.

Please see the screenshot:

Is there anything that can be done to make them look better?

2. I selected Serbian in 'Subtitle language selection 1' but they are not automatically turned on on channels which identify them as 'scc':

I have to manually select them on each channel for them to be displayed.

Can you add 'scc' identification as Serbian so that they are automatically picked up?

On channels which broadcast them as 'Serbian' they are automatically turned on:

As to 1: DVB subs are broadcasted as images, and not suitable for scaling. This goes horribly wrong if you let Enigma scale them, or if your provider broadcasts upscaled SD content.

But subtitles marked as 'scc' don't automatically turn on when 'Serbian' is selected.

Or you think this change needs to be made to OpenPLi config?

Wierd two slightly different iso… a revision with different letters. It can indeed be considered to add the variation.

Merged.... as far I understood in development image... So the initiator needs to test it in the development image.

I do not dare to merge it. It looks like it changes the micro controller so I’m afraid it could break other boxes images.

But the box is old and not so popular. Maybe the only way for it to be tested is to make the merge and wait for the people to flash the image and report. I doubt anyone with ET7x00 will stumble upon that thread and test the attached ipk file. Openatv made the change and I don't think anyone reported anything bad.

WanWizard would like to see someone with et7000 or et7500 to test in advance.
Whether everything works with it.
You can use the changed ipk either way to optimize your box accordingly.

Let's see if an et7000 or et7500 user can be found who can also test it.
It's definitely not a high priority.

Is this change only for subtitles or audio tracks as well. I see some audio tracks identified as 'scc' as well so it would be nice to have them recognised as Serbian.
