Hi.

I have EDISION OS MIO+4K, rotor, Fracarro penta... I receive SAT form 80°E to 45°W. I have OPENPLI 8.3., OPENPLI NIghtly build and OPENPLI 7.3 in multiboot.

If I use OPENPLI 8.3. or OPENPLI NIghtly build and I watch a channel with high SR 30000 and above when I turn OFF the receiver and after 20 minutes turn it ON again I have no signal on all channels, satellites. I have to reboot the receiver and ten it works OK. The same thing is if I use YouTube, mulistalker, when I go back to channel with high SR, there is no signal. Channels wit SR less than 30000 are always working OK. OPENPLI 7.3 doesn't have this problem. (On OPENPLI 7.3  programs T2 MI on 33°E don't work.)

Any solution?

 

I also have DM920 tripple tuner MS on sepparate SAT system (penta + rotor) with OPENPLI NIghtly build and it works OK.

It is usually driver related, so perhaps they introduced a regression in later drivers.

 

You can try contacting Edision, and ask them to update the BSP is a fix is available. They are one of the few manufacturers with an in-house developer and usually respond quickly.

Funny answer, we don't maintain the BSP and the server that hosts the drivers, Edision does.

 

Also, the drivers is a zip with a set of a revert to an older source date will revert all other drivers too, which I don't think is a good idea either. If the current avl6261.ko is buggy, Edision should fix it or release an updated zip with a reverted ko file.

 

The only thing we can do is revert the entire BSP, but that will then break the build due to compatibility issues, so not an option either.

Is an option to make 7.3 working with T2 MI? Is it possible to get some files (drivers), so I can make some tests? Or what can I do?

I've also sent your answer to Edision technical support. I'm waiting for their reply.

This does not sound like a driver problem to me. It sounds more like a reception problem, most likely in antenna hardware, or improper receiver setup.
What is the build date of your OpenPli 7.3 image?
What is the kernel version of your OpenPli 7.3 image?
What is the build date of your OpenPli 8.3 image?
What is the kernel version of your OpenPLi 8.3 image?

There are two avl6261.ko driver versions for the Edision Mini 4K, Mio+, and Mio 4K  receivers. One driver allows T2MI reception, and the other driver does not. The build dates and kernel versions of the two images you are using will give a clue as to what driver versions you have. But changing the driver will not solve a hardware problem or a receiver that is not configured properly.
 

How are you comparing these two image versions?  Do you have both versions on multi-boot or did the 7.3 image version just work correctly the last time you used it?

Antenna Fracarro penta 85 is installed correctly (I receive aslo some very weak SAT 80°E, 70,5°E, 26°E, 27°W from my possition...). Some weeks ago we changed rotor and updated the position of the antenna because we made a new roof, but the problems are the same.

I have Mini 4K, Mio+ (bigger dispay), I can watch with nigtly buld channels on 33°E, but with 7.3. black screen (if I copy the list of channels), If I make scan with 7.3. only one channel is saved and it doesn't work.

 

I have multiboot (4 slots).

 

Kernel how can I check it?

How are we supposed to check something if there is no log for it?
Should we just randomly swap drivers even though no one else is reporting it as a problem?

Activate debuglog and attach the problem here as a zip file.

Where can I get debuglog?

In the standby menu, restart Enigma in debug mode. This creates a debuglog file in the root homedirectory on the box.

How can I attach debuglog file? I restared Enigma in debug mode, than I went on 9°E 12466V 41950 16APSK switched OFF the receiver and after 20 minutes I have turned it ON and now I have Tune failed!
