Just checked and TSDuck is not in the repos of OpenPLi

opkg list | grep tsduck
root@vuduo4kse:~# uname -a
Linux vuduo4kse 4.1.45-1.17 #1 SMP Sat Sep 10 19:30:52 UTC 2022 armv7l GNU/Linux

Is armv7l = armhf, or it is different architecture?

Is it safe to install the 32bit version for "Raspbian (Raspberry Pi, 32 bits) | tsduck_3.36-3528.raspbian12_armhf.deb"

https://github.com/t...ian12_armhf.deb

or would I need to compile it and if so, would it work?

Vu+ Duo4K SE with 45308X FBC and BCM3466 running OpenPLi 8.3-release (2023-06-25-release-8.3)
Vu+ Ultimo4K with BCM3148, 45208 FBC and TT3L10 running OpenPLi 8.3-release (2023-06-25-release-8.3)

You would need to compile it, not only for possible architecture issues, but also because you need to compile it against the correct kernel and libraries.

Satdreamgr has a build recipe for it: https://github.com/s...sduck/tsduck.bb

This would require you to setup a build environment (some pointers here: https://wiki.openpli..._your_own_build).

Once you've been able to build an image for your box, you can copy that recipe into meta-local/tsduck, and build it using

 cd build
 MACHINE=xxXXXX
 source env.source
 bitbake -k tsduck

Currently in use: VU+ Duo 4K (2xFBC S2), VU+ Solo 4K (1xFBC S2), uClan Usytm 4K Pro (S2+T2), Octagon SF8008 (S2+T2), Zgemma H9.2H (S2+T2)

Due to my bad health, I will not be very active at times and may be slow to respond. I will not read the forum or PM on a regular basis.

Thanx for the pointers, Wow ...That is above my skill set :(

Everybody has to start somewhere, and we all were clueless at some point ;).
