Hi,
Is there a possibility of adding AC4 audio support to Edison OS mio 4k+ hardware and other models?
There are French UHD channels which are broadcast with AC4 audio on 5w.

No, DVB audio (and video) is processed in hardware (not only Edision, every box), so the hardware must support it, and the drivers must enable it.
I've not seen any vendor adding AC4 support.
Currently in use: VU+ Duo 4K (2xFBC S2), VU+ Solo 4K (1xFBC S2), uClan Usytm 4K Ultimate (S2+T2), Octagon SF8008 (S2+T2), Zgemma H9.2H (S2+T2)
Due to my bad health, I will not be very active at times and may be slow to respond. I will not read the forum or PM on a regular basis.

SES UHD Demo on Astra 19, one track is AC4, I get no sound on my H7

As @WanWizard said there is no hardware support for AC4 on neither of the boxes currently built.

And downmix implementation for this audio format is not possible neither?

Not with the current code since it doesnt know how to parse that AC4. So for now not possible software decoding either.

So it follows the ETSI standards, and has an E-AC3 audio channel as fallback.
