Hello friends
1) You have a question about the information channel that appears at the bottom of the screen when you change channels. Is there any point where I can change the remaining (visible) time?
2) I installed sqlite3. Where can I find it using FTP connection?
Thank you very much
All the best

1. You mean the display timeout of the infobar? I don't think that is configurable.

2. Where can you find what?

Currently in use: VU+ Duo 4K (2xFBC S2), VU+ Solo 4K (1xFBC S2), uClan Usytm 4K Pro (S2+T2), Octagon SF8008 (S2+T2), Zgemma H9.2H (S2+T2)

1. Yes it is configurable (by default it is 5 seconds but I always increase it to 7 seconds): Menu -> Settings -> System -> GUI settings -> (at 2/3 on this screen) you have:  Display delay of the information bar and you can configure how many seconds it will be displayed.

If you don' t see it, ensure that the you are in expert mode:

Settings -> System -> Expert settings -> Configuration mode: set it to expert

Isn't that the second infobar only?

And eh... Sqlite3 is just a binary for running sqlite databases. It has nothing to do with Enigma, there is interface, it isn't used anywhere.

No there are 2 settings, one for the 1st infobar and another one for the second infobar.

The settings that I use are:

7 seconds for the 1st infobar

no timeout for the 2nd one.

Hmm, can't believe I missed that, I went through the list several times. Are those in the same place, or in different lists?

In the same screen, look at the penultimate line.

May be slightly reorganise the screen to have them both close to each other will be a more logical approach.

All setting screens must be overhauled.

There has been an almost anal obsession in the past with reducing the number of screens as much as possible, with the result that there are 2 or 3 screens with many many settings, in most cases completely unrelated, all mixed up.

Compare that with for example a current ATV, which has much more logical setting screens, nicely grouped per feature or function. Yes, more screens and perhaps more key presses needed, but a lot more logical for the average user.

I totally agree with you, sometimes I know that an option exists somewhere and I cannot retrieve it due to this lack of logic / proper organisation.

And you do not need real programming skills as it can be configured via menu.xml and settings.xml for most of them.
