Do not update openpli 10.12024
There is an update error.
It deadens your boxing.
You need to flash again and restore from backup.

I have managed to reproduce this by updating an image that hasn't been updated in many months. I used an image from mid august 2023, and did an update.

It looks like the driver crashes for some reason, I'm investigating. Flashing the latest 8.3 image, or using OpenPLi 9, doesn't seem to have a problem.

it is a crash in the driver:

The problem is not the driver update itself, I compared them from develop, 9.0 and 8.3 ( the three different bootslots, accessed directly ), and they are binary the same.

It gets weirder: if I replace the entire slot partition by that of another working one, that ALSO doesn't work.

If I flash an old 8.3, do not configure it (or restore a config), it boots, I can update, and then it still boots.

It crashes as soon as the dvb driver is accessed.

My guess is that there is something else that needs updating to, which is part of the base image (and therefore present if you flash the 2024 image), but is not marked as a package to be updated. Which is for octagon to sort out.

I am always told that a message like “fatal signal” gives no information regarding the exact cause of this issue.
I don’t know the skin you use but maybe this might be the cause if this issue. You might change this to the default skin for a while just for testing purposes.

Question for developers.
I don't know if this is the right thread.
It is possible to save the Network multiboot image upgrade server
openpli-8.3-release-sf8008 ?
It is one of the few ways to go back to the original openpli backup.
Network multiboot image upgrade server only provides openpli 9
which will not allow a correct return to the backup.
It's logical.
And each user chooses the version online if he wants to use the version
python2 or python3.
Thanks for the responses

If I understand it correctly, the fullbachup of the Octagon regarding feed is created incorrectly.

As I understand it, restoring the fullbackup is not possible because of this.
Is it really like that?

If that is the case, possible, Persian Prince, who has maintained it, has not been seen online for quite a while. I hope nothing has happened to him, Iran is a volatile place.

I don't know exactly what's wrong, I understood the previous post to mean that there was a problem.
The user had not yet contacted us again.
Maybe someone else with the SF8008 can reproduce this?
So run a backup from 8.3 and flash it again.
Whether the wrong feed accidentally appears.

Simple...

Use menu-setup-FlashImage

WanWizard

It is easy.

If I want to load an online image into the multiboot
so it will only offer me Openpli9
Why can't it also offer me version 8.3 for multiboot?
