Known issue, alsready reported here. If you want to use 8.3, you need to flash an image from after Januari 8th, in which the bug in Python is worked around.

Or do a commandline update

init 4 && sleep 15
opkg update && opkg upgrade enigma2
init 3

No idea where you get that date from, the enigma2 in the feed is from the 25th:

[root@openpli-nas openpli-8.3-release]# ls -l sf8008/enigma2_*

To humor you, I've restored the image of 09-11-2023, and flashed that.

Then updated enigma on the commandline exactly like I showed you. And after that it works fine, no more crash, see the screenshot.

The date you see when the box starts up is not related to the image version, but to the build version. Updating a single package doesn't update the bootlogo screen.

No, if you run an image from after Januari 18th, everything works again as normal.

If you want to use an external abertis file, you probably need to create autoexec.lua as well

Jan 31 00:26:57: ERROR: [lua] unhandled Lua error
Jan 31 00:26:57: ERROR: [lua] /etc/astra/scripts/autoexec.d/abertis:1: unexpected symbol near char(127)
