I need some help on tryng to find Rai 1 hd on 13 e. I have the frequency

Hot Bird 13G 11766.00 V 52 Europe DVB-S2 8PSK 29900 3/4

When I scan the frequency nothing is found. I downloaded a channel list for 13e but still won't find it on a scan. Does anyone watch this channel? and give me some advice to what I'm doing wrong please? Thanks

Works fine here on the given frequency… Probably you need to reallign your dish. Do you receive other HB channels?

Hi mimisiku, I have tuned it to the strongest signal. It's a new dish. I am in England using a flat 60cm dish. Not sure if this dish is underpowered for 13e. I am picking up Rai news with a signal of 72% and agc 57%.

Also Rai Gulp HD with the same strength. I don't lose signal with these channels. Also pick up other FTA channels. But for some reason nothing found on the ferquency you are showing. Very strange. Thanks

Your antenna should not be perfectly vertical you need to tilt it vertically to improve the signal.

60 cm is quite small for HB reception in the UK. 78 cm is recommended for use in the UK. Recently HB has been renewed by Eutelsat

My dish is slightly off to one side, I gained 4 /5 percent by doing this but looks a little odd. The satellite guy did say I should be ok with this dish so I expected it could be a problem. I will have to take a 130 pound loss and invest in a 80 equivilent flat dish I guess. Thanks for helping me guys. Regards Rhurbarb

Highly depends on where in the UK.

Here in Scotland with a Visio BiSat (not the BigSat!) with 4 LNB's there is enough signal, although not enough reserve in heavy downpours...

Im In the West Country, I do have an 80 cm dish spare . I think I should test Rai1 and make sure It picks it up before I buy a flat 80cm equivilent dish.. Annoying for me as  I bought a diamond shape dish but it looks too bulky. Gone with the days I could put a motorized dish up and not worry about others(misses) ;)  I did expect to lose the signal when it rains but I didn't expect not to pick it up on a sunny day ... Thanks

I had a 78cm Triax when I lived in the Midlands, which was fine as well, I vaguely remember something around 14 dB for RAI 1.

I now have managed to pick up Rai1. I didn't have to replace the dish. I have a 65 percent snr with 9.9db. I moved the dish away from my other dish then went back to an older backup and rescan. Cool

That should be sufficient, but you'll probably loose all signal when it starts raining, 9.9 dB isn't very much.
