Waarom is voor de nieuwe Oscam updates de Scam-reader weggelaten (uit compilatie), terwijl deze wel (gelukkig) wel nog aanwezig in de laatste Oscam-Emu Binary ?
Ik spreek vanuit ervaring met Openpli develop, Openpli 9. 0 Stable niet getest.

Sinds mei 2023 is er maar 1 aanpassing gedaan aan het build recipe, en dat is vorige week, om de streamrelay module toe te voegen.
Dus wellicht heeft het Oscam team een aanpassing gemaakt?
Currently in use: VU+ Duo 4K (2xFBC S2), VU+ Solo 4K (1xFBC S2), uClan Usytm 4K Pro (S2+T2), Octagon SF8008 (S2+T2), Zgemma H9.2H (S2+T2)
Due to my bad health, I will not be very active at times and may be slow to respond. I will not read the forum or PM on a regular basis.

Net OScam uit onze feed geinstalleerd en als ik een reader wil toevoegen kan ik SCAM gewoon toevoegen.

Net OScam uit onze feed geinstalleerd en als ik een reader wil toevoegen kan ik SCAM gewoon toevoegen.
Kijk ff voor mij in oscam.version ipv de oscam-webif ? Staat Scam-reader aangevinkt ?

Je praat over een oude oscamversie !!!!!! Bij upgrade OpenPli wordt versie /revisie r11741 geladen.

Het kan zijn dat de makefile anders is dan van de versie waarvan we eerder bouwden, de repo waarvan wij oscam halen is recent behoorlijk op de schop gegaan, de streamrelay en cak ondersteuning zit er nu standaard in, ik zal even kijken of ik de scam reader erbij kan zetten.

Ik heb hem voor develop erbij gezet, vanaf de volgende build staat die online.

Knap gevonden, de omschrijving van die commit doet niet vermoeden dat SCAM en STINGER standaard uit zijn gezet, dit is een commit van een week geleden.....

Ik, .......! Kijk hier op mijn slaapkamer STB, al voor de introductie van de fallback functie, middels Scam naar de STB in de kamer.
Wat zijn de voordelen om van het goodold Scam protocol af te wijk en bijv. cs378x te gaan gebruiken?

Dat cs378x op scam gebaseerd is zover ik weet... alleen iets moderner en een upgrade er van... Dus er zal wel wat finetuning bij zitten en vooral beter beveiligd (maar voor een interne share boeit dat niet zo lijkt me).
Zover ik me kan herinneren is uit scam ooit oscam geboren. Na der hand kwam er pas CCcam protocol bij (gereversed engineerd) en ook gbox en andere nog oudere methodes zoals radegast en ncam etc....

Oscam komt voort uit MPCS, in de begintijd van MPCS deed ik er veel mee in combinatie met VDR-SC in de ReelBox maar dat is alwel heeeeeeeeeeeeeel lang geleden
Als ik me goed herinner staat MPCS voor Multi Protocol Card Server of iets dergelijks....
