I tried your skin and my first impressions are

 

*Selection bar is not visible because of similar colors. It may be beautiful or selectable if contrast color must.

*Picon size is smaller according to skin infobar width or Can you change date and time location?

*I do not like shadowed infobar but Maybe Pli lovers think different

To be honest, I think it is a very nice skin, apart from the info bar which I (personally) think contains too much information.

I actually like the colors that are used in it.

Yes, I like it this way.

apart from a few menu’s/submenu’s which need some scaling, it is really looking great.

I'm totally new to the skin theme...just do a

opkg install

and it appears in the skin menu and can be choosen?

Download it, put it on a USB stick, plug it in, you will be prompted to install it.

Maybe it could be nice to have two different first infobars and the user is able to select for less information or more information? And then instantly toggle between them with ‘long ok’ (something the same we do with the second infobar)… eg alternativeInfoBar as screen name.
Can be done with help of the instantiate screens method.

Does it only work in OpenPli 9, not in 8.3?

The skin only works on Open PLi 9.0 and OpenPLi-develop. The skin does not work on Open PLi 8.3.

There a are lot of skins in the feed saying "Openpli 4 or 3". Will they still run in up-to-date Pli-Versions?

What about the other skins here discussed in this section of the forum, lets say "PLi-DarkOS Skin"?

There is no way to understand will a skin going to run on specific PLi version....
The one made for PLi 3 or 4 are so old that is likely to not run on PLi 9.
Regarding the E2-DarkOS skin, it runs on OpenPLi nightly versions only since it requires a lot of changes under the hood that are in develop version only.

All my skins, all the information you are interested in is in the file name. Which image is it for, which is the author, which version is it, etc.

Your skin runs fine on the openpli nightly build. And that's not openpli9.0.

But it is made of Open PLi 9.0.

Of course. But it will be (or is) the successor of 9.0. The skin DarkOS will not run on 9.0 but it runs on NB.
