Hi,

I've an Hi3798MV200 based sat receiver (a clone of the Formuler S Mini 4K), running andro 7.0

I need please the datasheet of the Hi3798MV200 SOC and some infos about boot process.

How can I get it running enigma2? There's no image availaible from the manufacturer !!!

Thanks

You won't be able to unless you have the SDK, and you'll never get that as they are under heavy NDA, only available for manufacturers.

So if the manufacturer doesn't provide a BSP with compiled drivers, chances are slim. I doubt you can use the Android binaries, but you could try creating a BSP yourself. using the same linux kernel version as Android is using, and see if the ko's load.

Currently in use: VU+ Duo 4K (2xFBC S2), VU+ Solo 4K (1xFBC S2), uClan Usytm 4K Ultimate (S2+T2), Octagon SF8008 (S2+T2), Zgemma H9.2H (S2+T2)

Due to my bad health, I will not be very active at times and may be slow to respond. I will not read the forum or PM on a regular basis.

Thanks WanWizard, but there's many Hi3798MV200 based boxes running E2.

If there's no SDK nor a datasheet how openpli or openatv for example can build E2 images for these boxes?

You need the SDK to be able to create and compile drivers for the hardware, the SDK contains the source code for that.

Every hardware platform is different, even those that appear to be "clones", like the GB Trio 4K and the Octagon SF8008 for example. Identical on the outside and the PCB, and still you can't install GB drivers on the Octagon and v.v.

For every box there is a Yocto BSP layer (board support layer), created by the manufacturer. It contains the machine configuration, and it downloads the binary (so pre-compiled) closed source drivers directly from the manufacturer.

For the Zgemma H9, which is such a box, see https://github.com/O...eta/meta-zgemma.

thanks again WanWizard for the link.

I know that I need an SDK+ linux kernel + BSP for a given receiver.

Here's and SDK:

https://github.com/J...00R005C00SPC050

Is there any availaible full datasheet for the Hi3798MV200 SOC or it's boot process or any other programming infos?

What's the format for the .eird images?

I doubt HiSilicon will like it being leaked, even though it's old. Officially, nothing is available.

Now find a kernel developers with the skills to make the drivers for your specific hardware.

We don't do any of that, so have no need for this information.

I need infos about the SOC not the linux drivers for my box.

Also any infos about the .eird image format will be appreciated.

You can't do anything with the SOC without the drivers to access it.

And I have no clue what eird is, never seen it.

Here's a link to the .ird format:

https://www.hdfreaks...tis-IRD-Format/

I thing the .eird is an enhanced/extended ird format, but I couldn't find any document alas !

I don't think you'll find what you're looking for here.

We've never worked with anything from Fortis, the old Formuler BCM boxes were very different.

Besides that, we only work with manufacturers, we never create images without direct access to their technical support.
