After the last update of ver 8.3 and then went to ver 9.0, then after a while (1 day of use) my remote control is struggling. Have to press extra to get a response. (This applies to MuTant HD51 and HD150) ??

Did you replace the batteries in the Remote Control Unit (RCU)?
