"EPG Import now" is missing from the main menu (8.3>9.0)

Since I flashed the new 9.0 version I noticed that "EPG Import Now" disappeared from the main menu and now it's inside the EPG settings menu which is not really useful anymore considering it takes the same number of clicks or probably even less to go to Plugins > Epg Importer > Manual Import. Would it be possible to add this back as non mandatory option like it was in 8.3.

No. It has been part of a cleanup operation, these items don't belong in the main menu, I has been moved to the services menu (blue button), so no additional keypresses.
Currently in use: VU+ Duo 4K (2xFBC S2), VU+ Solo 4K (1xFBC S2), uClan Usytm 4K Ultimate (S2+T2), Octagon SF8008 (S2+T2), Zgemma H9.2H (S2+T2)
Due to my bad health, I will not be very active at times and may be slow to respond. I will not read the forum or PM on a regular basis.

I think it is still not a good idea when plugins are 'burning' themselves in the main menu....

I agree but it was like that for many years. Why at least not include the option to enable it for the users who are used to it.
Is there any way to manually add the entry in the main menu?

That is not easy…. But it is always better to get it nested where it best fits. Usually the plugins itself should have the option where to show them. But that depends on the plugin creaters.

When watching TV, use blue button and you wll see: EPG Import now.
