Hello everyone,

Sorry if I missed something obvious, I'm not following things here much lately.

Starting from the very recent 9.0 stable images (available since around mid-June 2024), something is going wrong. First unusual thing I noticed is the double number of packages to be updated: circa 60, instead of the usual 30.

After updating, no DVB-S channels will play. They are all "n/a". There's a message about tuner configuration issues. I verified but all looks good. Even tried to change from the current Simple mode to Advanced. Single-dish, twin LNB (Astra 19.2 + Hotbird 13).

Also, no DVB-T channels will play. Their names are intact, the driver is still installed but the DVB-T tuner has disappeared from tuner configuration. Don't remember the exact driver name now, but it's something with the 7000 number in it (or 7100), for an old Hauppauge stick.

Haven't tried resetting all settings to default yet, since I had to quickly revert to the previous image which works perfectly btw, but I just had to try the update.

You're not running out of flash space, that caused incomplete updates and corrupted files? The Solo2 is an old box with not a lot of space.

OpenPLi 8 is smaller, so less of an issue. OpenPLi 10 is going to be even bigger, so chances are it will no longer run on old hardware.

Currently in use: VU+ Duo 4K (2xFBC S2), VU+ Solo 4K (1xFBC S2), uClan Usytm 4K Ultimate (S2+T2), Octagon SF8008 (S2+T2), Zgemma H9.2H (S2+T2)

Due to my bad health, I will not be very active at times and may be slow to respond. I will not read the forum or PM on a regular basis.

To be honest, I don't know about flash space. I'll see if can check.

The current version which seems to be the last one that works fine is 2024-06-09. Memory info with this version is attached.

I'll update again, try resetting everything to default and see what happens. The USB driver mentioned above was dvb-usb-dib0700 (1.1-r0.0).

Updated to 2024.07.01. Memory Info right after updating, attached.

Factory reset with/without restoring settings and restarting does not solve it. The tuners will just not work and nothing will play. The message is "Service unavailable! Check tuner configuration!". The Backup Suite works fine and restoring the 2024-06-09 backup makes everything work again.

Not a huge problem, I'll just stop updating. I know it's an old decoder and don't expect miracles. Many thanks for all your work!

Flash is not the same as memory.

Flash is internal storage, sort of an internal SD card (in the Solo2 they are still NAND memory chips), on which the root filesystem of the image is written. Compare it to the hard drive of your PC, it is where the operating system is installed.

The Solo2 has 256MB of flash space, If I look at a running image on my Duo 4K, it takes up 298.5MB of space, so with what I have installed, it wouldn't even fit in the Solo2.
