If you mean the FEC, 3/4 is the type of error correction applied, and if the tuner can't autodetect it, it must be given.

To make sure, zap to the channel, then press Menu, and go to Tuners and scanning, select Manual scan,  set it like in this screenshot, and press Green to scan that transponder. Then you're sure the settings are correct.

Just wondered how you managed to screen shot your screen on the dreambox?

Sorry I cant test bbc hd at the moment as there are clouds and I have no signal on that channel. I have checked channel5 hd the way you said and the symbol rate is showing 27500.  changed the symbol rate to 26500 and done a scan and it didnt pick it up. So bbc being 1000 out on the symbol rate seems to be the issue. Am I making any sense? I hope so

I will check the fec when I get the signal back.

Thanks

Ok I think it's fixed. I managed to get bbc to show a picture inbetween the clouds. I done a network search and it found 600 channels. I went back to bbc clicked on service info and it has changed the symbol rate to 23000

Inversion Auto

Modulation 8psk

transponder type satellite

symbol rate 23000000

system dvb-s2

Polarization horizontal

fec 3/4

I might reflash the box. Ftp the channels back in and see if it keeps the 22000 or changes it to 23000 without doing a scan. If is changes to 23000 without scanning I know it didn't overwrite over the old frequencies.

Thank you for all your help. 1000 thank you's

Using the web interface of the box. No idea how and what on OpenPLi 2.1, that was in a previous lifetime ;)

To fix that permanently, download https://github.com/O.../satellites.xml ( there is a download icon in the title bar, on the right ), put it on the box in /etc/tuxbox, restart Enigma, and do a full sat scan.

The results of the scan are saved in a text database file in /etc/enigma2, so they are kept without a new scan needed.

Hi. I did what you said, I copied the file int etc/tuxbox then rebooted the dreambox but I lost my lnb for some reason. So I put my old file back in etc tuxbox and still have no lnb. I did notice the old file I deleted was  named as satelllite.xml but the link above is called satellites.xml. Guessing this would cause an issue? Also I did not change the permissions when I ftped the first file. Did I need to change the permissions?

Thanks
