Hi.
Since when has this been happening to you? I have a similar problem, but I don't want to mix it up here. And in addition, it is a different Enigma2 distribution in my case and not OpenPLi. The problem is happening on my Vu+Solo SE V2.
1. It happened to me a long time ago. Sometimes the sound went out after a few weeks or months. And then the sound stopped working. The video worked fine but the sound was dead. Neither switching channels nor switching to standby helped. I had to turn off the power to the set-top box and then turn it on again. And this helped.
2. I updated my Enigma2 only in 2 days ago. What started to happen was that the sound cut out more and more often... at random intervals. In the course of 2 days, audio in set-top box was turned off about 2x-3x (for few seconds long period only). However, it always helped to switch the Vu+Solo-SE-V2 to standby mode and then immediately wake it up again. But when I repeated this 4 times, the audio finally lasted for only 5 seconds after waking up from standby.
In point 2, as if the problem was caused by some static charge in some capacitor or overheating of some component :-D. What finally helped was turning it off (Power Button on the back panel and pulling out the power adapter from the network) + turning on the set-top box. The sound then stopped dropping out.
Point 2 has happened to me only 2 times in 3 days so far, so I can't say whether this will continue to happen. It's holding up well so far. I've been testing it for 2 hours now.
Just a technical note... have any drivers changed for Vu+ devices ? If so, that could be the problem. Or has nothing changed regarding the hardware drivers ? :-/
But I don't want to grind to nothing :-).
Firstly, I'm currently using a different Enigma2 than OpenPLi, and secondly, I own a Vu+Solo SE V2 and also a Vu+ Zero4K, with the Vu+Zero4K running perfectly fine after the updates.
