install dmm image of what will be?

I will try that, but testing the other tips first

Putty init 4

Ftp to etc/enigma2/settings and delete the lines with nims in it.

Putty init 3

Correct the settings in tuner menu.

Update the box.

Don't know if it will work with your box.

I try it, but did not work for me.

I think that this empty slot there, this thing confusing.  Perhaps in the software is not included with this capability (empty slot(s)).

I open the box and was able to change to slot C (Socket 2). But I still have the same problem.

Philips TU-1216 is a dedicated DVB-T tuner!!! It cannot handle DVB-C at all! For DVB-C I am using the Philips CTU-1216 Mk III which in my case is used for Ziggo Cable in the Netherlands. IMHO all DVB-T antennas are active because of the short aerial.. So activating +5v is mandatory...

If you own/operate a DVB-T compatible TV the +5v power-insertion is probably done automatically... Does your DVB-T antenna have a LED to show it's status??? In the Netherlands they all have......

I dont have active antenna so I not have LED to show it's status, It have work before with no active antenna. And in my TV I have full signal on DVB-T without +5v activated.

One thing springs to mind.... Did you upgrade your OpenPli 4.0 or did you perform a clean full flash of the box? In the latter case the cables.xml is not directly suited for DVB-T... You may need to edit cables.xml to incorporate at least 1 DVB-T valid for your area.

I do a clean install 25.01.2016. After that I have upgrade the OpenPli 4.0
I don't find cables.xml ?
But I find terrestrial.xml. Can it be somting wrong there?
One of the frequency in my area are chanel 55 frekvens 746.00 K band - 570M 64qam 2/3

No i had it to (living in the Netherlands)

Strange thing i did.

init 4

Delete all nim lines in the setting files.

init 3

Then corrected the settings in menu and updated the box.

Ok, so then I am not the only one who had these problem.

Do you have an easily understandable instructions on how I can do the same as you do to fix the problem? I have Putty for Telnet, FTP client and Notpad+, but I can almost noting about Linux so I need a detailed instructions ;)

Or maybe someone want to make a fix that anyone who gets this problem can use? A .ipk file patch who delete all nim lines in the setting files, correct the settings in menu and tell you to updated the box.

I can test it if someone makes a .ipk file I can put in my box for upgrade.

Your DM8000 have one empty socket- NIM Socket 2:
empty
Can you raise your Philips tuner around there? (+restart box)
If it would help, then, would be ideas. I got this idea from a previous post and I think that this will solve your problem.

Please a little clarification
Is the Philips TU1216 dvb-T and dvb-C capable tuner? (goldeneye uses it as a dvb-C).

It is no space to put the tuner in slot C (Socket 2) because it have an DVD-R/W inside.
The Philips TU1216 is only DVB-T capable tuner

Hmm.. Then it maybe must be something wrong with my Philips TU1216 tuner?

I do not have active antenna, so I do not activate +5V insertion.
I have perfekt signal from antenna on the DVB-T tuner in my TV.

I don't remember what image it was in my DM8000 before, I have not use it for while, and the first I do when I start using it again was to install OpenPLi 4 from .nfi file. (clean install) I think it was an old OpenPLi release before. DVB-T worked fine before.

I will try another image when I get time, to see if it work, and I will come with feedback in a few days.

Thanks for trying to help
