I have used this licence because it allows others to use the code under the

terms. Another reason is that all xbmc plugins use this licence. One

requirement of this is that the source code should be provided. Some

plugins like tsmedia only provide .pyo files. It is no problem for me - I

can convert .py files in two minutes - but it (not supplying source code)

does disregard the licence.

Attached is the new version v6 for plugin XBMCAddons.

 

Changes from v5 :

 

(1) All updates included

(2) Will not (hopefully) any more clash with other plugins using xbmc file names

(3) Online install of addons (converted xbmc plugins)

(4) Adult (18+) addons can be protected with parental protection PIN.

About 95 xbmc addons have been converted so far. These are now uploaded to the server for online install. Many of these have not been checked recently. So -

 

Please report any addon which is not working - or very slow.

Any available and working xbmc plugin can be easily converted for enigma2 images for using with this plugin.

                       BUG REPORT

If you get GS - post the crashlog.

If no crashlog -

Step 1. Select Debug 'Yes' in Settings (blue button). Select Save.

Step 2. Telnet command :-

init 4 && killall -9 enigma2 && enigma2>/tmp/e.log 2>&1 &

Step 3. Start plugin again. When you have the error - copy the file /tmp/e.log - zip or rar it - and post here.

 

All posts with error report must include a crashlog or e.log.

Hi,

 

New addon now available for plugin XBMCAddons.:-

plugin.video.xot (Xbmc Online Tv).

This is a big addon. Mainly Netherlands tv but also includes many international tv archives - for example BBC, Tv3.Latvia among others !

Needs rtmp support software. Options are very large  - and some lists are slow to show. So please be patient.

XBMCAddons is for running xbmc addons on enigma2 images. Tested on dm500hd and et9500. New version XBMCAddons.v5.0 is attached below.

 

Addons, script-modules and software can be installed on-line.

Select Addons in the first screen for options (see screenshot). After install - return to first screen and select Addons again

Attached are two enigma2 plugins PlayStream and PlayStreamVlc for streaming live tv. PlayStreamVlc requires a working plugin Vlcplayer.

Please find attached a modified plugin Vlcplayer. It has the following features :-

Streaming via new Vlc Mediaplayer version 2.0.1.

Caching of the downloaded .ts media

Audio samplerate 0 added.

Method :-

Download and install Vlc 2.0.1. Do

Tools -> Preferences -> All -> Interface -> Main Interface -> Select Web.

Find file c:/Program Files/VideoLAN/VLC/Lua/http/.hosts and insert your dreambox ip (without #).

Download and install the attached VlcPlayer Mod. Configure as usual.

If anybody wants to update the plugin git - the changes are in VlcPlayer.py, VlcServer.py and VlcServerConfig,py.

Hi,

Trying to play a video with gstreamer - I get this error :-

"No decoder available for type 'video/x-vp6-flash"

Dm 500hd also gives the error :-

Gstreamer plugin for Codec On2 VP6/Flash missing.

I see in /etc/installed that libgstriff is installed - which I believe deals with this type of codec.

Anybody can advice which gst plugin is necessary ?

gst-plugin-flv is already installed.

I have never written a plugin for enigma2, but I have for xbmc. Both are written in python, so I'd imagine they can't be too different.
The main code that I'm looking for is, how to display info on the sat box and examples using regex for accessing a single site.
If you could post somewhere the code and under what licence you use, I would be very grateful.

With a small module from Webmedia - I have made a plugin for you to see what is involved in the process. I am sure it will be quite easy to adapt many xmbc plugins to this format.

Consider placing your code on Github or so, then the plugin can be added to the feed automatically. As a "strong believer in opensource" you cannot do less.

Thank you for your comment. It is not like other plugins. As far as the source is concerned - there is nothing for others to develop further. It just reads the webpage source and finds the streams.

I do not want to cause any problem for anybody by widely publishing the streaming methods. In any case - these change frequently.

I (being the developer) have the codes for the plugin Webmedia. I have not included the .py files in the plugin, firstly, because this will double the size of the installed plugin, and secondly, the codes have to be revised frequently as the methods change. But, I am a strong believer in opensource - and therefore I give helpful advice to anyone who asks me.

My general advice to any interested developer is that - the method mainly involves examining the source texts of the webpages - and of course, google.
