Display name historyAccording to Satbeams, Stockholm should be ok with 55cm. Thouse 5dB are ok to mantain image? I'm in the same zone, actually closer to the higher level, and I can't receive either with 65cm parabol nor Selfsat D50.
i usually get 9-11,5 dB on 65cm. (and almost same values with my Selfsat H50D4)
And that's why 4-5 dB is a huge drop in signal strength for me.
Because 6 dB is enough to get an image (breaking) and over 7 is good.
Satbeams and those coverage maps can give you an estimation and are for the "best case scenario". In reality there are no sharp edges as you already know, it degrades gradually.. In my case, elevation is my enemy here in the north. The signal fluctuates because of the atmosphere mass. Yes, something has changed lately, and it is not in a good way. It looks like I need a 90 cm parabol just for Intelsat and SatBack.
