If all the key are transferred to the TV then you can no longer control your STB ok button should not be the same as the one from your TV and opposite is true too.
So when enabling the control STB with the TV remote don't expect every key to be mapped.
I have the same with my Sony TV I can control the STB from the Sony RCU but only a few keys are mapped.

Are you using some kind of illegal IPTV?  There are chances that they defined the wrong EPG to those service reference and didn't update them to the correct one.

So I guess it is the iPTV provider that mess up your EPG.

If you use modern webif then you no longer have this option easily accessible, you need to go into the bouquet editor.

Turn the OpenWebif into classic mode and you will be able to easily download the full bouquet in the m3u format.

With today online update OpenWebif is no longer working in Solo4K and Duo4k so I can confirm this problem.

OpenPLi is never modying the splash screen so there is no OpenPLi splash screen.

You need to find the official splash screen or flash the manufacturer official image hoping that they include the splash screen.

It's a real pity images that think smart to replace the manufacturer splash screen.

The other channels coming from Hotbird 13E are some channels from the French offer BIS (ABSAT) but you cannot open all of them with TeleSat card. So LCN will not be relevant for TeleSat usage.
Same applied for the channels coming from Astra 19.2E They are channels from french CSat.
So the best thing if is to create manually its own custom favourite. If he wants to still use the Hotbird one in its TeleSat favourite.

I have also tested other images but I always comeback to OpenPLi.
The main differences are that OpenPLi doesn't include all the possible drivers and many plugins out of the box.
So when you are starting OpenPLi is less user-friendly because you need to find what to install to have some features like EPGImport for exemple.
On other images they load many plugins so newbies find it easy they plug an USB tuner it works, you need EPG Import you have it.
So once you know what you really use and then need you switch to OpenPLi and install them.

In OpenPli you never had to ask what to delete but what to add.

And the default skin is also for me the best, all others skins that I test never fullfil my expectations many technical informations are missing. Other skins have many renderer that just slow down the GUI, personally I don't care to have the weather, the sport result, the SoC and HDD temperatures but I'd like to easily find the service id of a channel.
An efficient skin also contribue to the speed feeling of the GUI. And I'd like too that it's a HD skin.

The plugin is storing the setting into Enigma2 "memory", Enigma2 is flushing it to the flash when you shutdown or restart your box (init 4 is flushing the settings to flash).

If you power off the box without going first to standby your settings changes are not saved, this is the "normal" behavior of Enigma2 and is valid for your Enigma2 settings too, this is not specific to EPGImport.

You are not supposed to power off your box when while it is running.

M7 group has been purchased by French Canal+  so now the basic french channels are provided on Astra 19.2E and no longer on Hotbird 13.0E officially (even if you can open them with your TeleSat subscription).

 

As you can see officially on the TeleSAT website:

You will see that TF1, France 2, .... are now referenced on Astra on no longer on Hotbird.  So FastScan is right.

 

Moreover you have a far better image on Astra (all channels are in HD) than on Hotbird.

I have a VU+ Solo4K and I can play a DVD with subtitle and they are displayed.

So there is no issue with DVD and subtitles.

I have toggle them on / off  to be sure that they are displayed or not.

 

Tested with OpenPLi 8.1 develop with default skin.

 

The DVD is played from a Synology NAS (NFS mount).
