The sundtek doesn't use a driver. It comes with an installer that installs an application (closed source) that communicates between the stick (using low-level USB access) and a vtuner. No drivers involved.

 

There may be other "proper" wlan sticks usable for dm800, but you need to be very careful if they're supported on a linux 2.6.18 kernel.

All right!! So, I have no choice only sundtek usb stick will operational with my box and with openpli image correctly??? Sure? If I'll buy one and I connect it to my dm800 which driver will be good???

On the other hand, the dm800 was never meant to be used with extra tuners...

 

Do not blame anybody. I think the second statement is not completely accurate.

 

dm800 was the first box to be used with usbtuners...

 

User only needs to incorporate needed changes in openpli 2.1 v4linux sources and build locally for his own use.
