I hope I point you now to the right direction ;)

You certainly did. When I get home from work today, I will find out if my theory about (my) incorrect satpos specified in hex in the filenames is correct.

I the meantime, I have checked many of the filenames, and strangely enough I cannot get the picon filenames to match the required pattern.
FX. Discovery HD looks like this: 1_0_1_1006_29_46_E080000_0_0_0.png
But that is not corresponding to the actual SID, transponder ID and Network ID of Discovery HD at 0.8W?
Is that the problem?

Ahaaa, I think I might be close to answering my own question now.
All of the numbers in the picon file name is in HEX format :-)
And I have now checked several of the channels on 0.8W in my box and they all have a namespace (sat-pos) of E070000 (in hex) and that must be the reason for those picons now working.

I'll help if I can, but I'm on OpenPLi E1 for DM500S. In Menu > System Settings > User Interface settings > OSD Settings - I see an option Show plicons

I'd be surprised if a similar option did not exist in PLi E2 images. So see if you can find this then make sure this option is ticked.

Cheers- AL :)

Thanks AL, I will check that out when I get home.

Picons are matched on service reference, not on name. And the orbital position is part of the service reference.

That is also what I assumed. So it is still a mystery why picons are not working on my VU Uno.

for 0.8W and 4.8E

I suggest it could be related to settings.... Sometimes it is confusing... 0.8 W could be 1.0 W aswell and 4.8E as 5E.... Then indeed picons could not be found.

So what you are saying, is that the name of the sat is important, and must match a specific name for picons to work?
